STARS flock to Twitter to keep fans up-to-date with their lives.

But with no filters on their thoughts, outbursts and intimate conversations, the social networking site can land our favourite celebrities in deep water.
Here, we take a look at the best bloopers to have hit the twittersphere in recent times.
Jodie Marsh
UP first is glamour model Jodie Marsh, who seems to have misunderstood the meaning of internet dating.
Since she started dating ex-TOWIE star Kirk Norcross, the bodybuilder has been live-blogging their dates on her Twitter account, posting intimate snaps of them kissing and cuddling.

Sofa so good ... Jodie Marsh shares the progress of her dates on Twitter

On their first date the red-head started off the night with the tweet: "Right nobody disturb us. Me and @kirk_official are having a spooning session on the sofa with a film.
"We're too tired to go out ;-) x x x”
While sitting next to her, Kirk responded with: “"Having a spooning session with @JodieMarsh watching a film! #MmmmNice did someone say #50ShadesOfKirk ;-)."
Jodie then posted a rude photo of her new man, teasing fans with the line : "Hahahaha Kirk is now regretting wearing tight jeans #sorry #notreallysorry @kirk_official. #toldyouitwasbig."
Days later, on a second date, she uploaded a saucy snap of Kirk, 24, grabbing her boob with the caption: “He’s pushing his luck now haha @kirk_official #fondle.”

Ricky Gervais
SERIAL offender Ricky Gervais’s latest joke to rile fans is a comment about Holocaust victim Anne Frank.
The 51-year-old comic tweeted to over 2.5million followers: “If I had a time machine, I’d go back and sneak Anne Frank a DVD of Home Alone. It could give her the edge.”

Ricky Gervais
In hot water ... Ricky's controversial jokes cause offense with fans

He quickly deleted it after being slammed by fans, but the outspoken star tweeted: “We have to stop this recent culture of people telling us they’re offended and expecting us to give a f***.”
Back in October 2011 he came under attack from Down’s Syndrome groups by appearing to ridicule children with the condition with his frequent use of the word "mong".
His account and blog contained numerous mentions including the phrases “Good monging everyone” and “two mongs don’t make a right”.
Claiming the word’s meaning has changed from a derogatory term for sufferers to simply meaning “a complete idiot” Ricky defended his joke but later apologised, admitting: “I was naïve.”

Melanie Sykes
WHEN telly beauty Mel Sykes sent a string of racy texts to her new toyboy Jack Cockings, she took the meaning of PDA to a new level.
Dubbing him “Jack rabbit” she messaged him saying she had the “giddiest knickers of my life”, adding “I’ve got the raging horn, please take me".
Jack, 26, had first got in touch after Mel posted a near-naked picture from one of her modelling shoots.

Melanie and Jack
Happy couple ... Melanie and Jack

The pair hit it off with a series of saucy messages on the site, even though Jack had already used the network to unsuccessfully chat up Jodie Marsh and Cheryl Cole.
Fans were split right down the middle in their reactions. Some praised the 41-year-old for her refreshingly confident attitude.
But others scratched their head as to why the mum of two would choose such a public forum for her flirting.
The former Boddingtons model responded by saying she was “extremely happy” with her cheeky man.
She said: "It really is just some light-hearted banter and nothing serious. He's a great guy.
We only recently started dating and like any new romance it's exciting and you can often get caught up in the moment."

Jessie J
YOU can imagine the head-in-hands moment Jessie J had after accidently tweeting fans a result of talent contest The Voice three hours before the pre-recorded show was broadcast.

Embarrassed ... Jessie J accidently tweeted The Voice result

The 24-year-old coach posted a photo of herself with her two finalists Vince Kidd and Becky Hill, effectively revealing she had booted her other two team members off the show.
She captioned it “#teamjessie going in today”.
And Jessie’s blooper wasn’t the only sore point to hit The Voice, with poor ratings, a cancelled live tour and clashes between the judges and staff on the show all hitting the headlines.

Jason Manford
CLEAN-cut comedian Jason Manford quit his high-profile job on The One Show after it was revealed he’d sent sleazy sex messages to a female fan on Twitter.

Shamed ... married Jason Manford was caught out after sexting girls on Twitter

The married dad, 29 at the time, bombarded a busty 22-year-old with pervy posts and begged for her to send him topless snaps.
He later confessed to taking part in raunchy video sex sessions with 12 girls on Skype in his hotel room saying: “It all happened on tour. It’s boredom and loneliness."
Publicly apologising and quitting the primetime show to concentrate on spending time with his family, Jason said at the time: “I am a good dad, a good husband. From now I am going to be one forever. That’s it.”

Imogen Thomas
IT'S hard to Imogen a twittersphere without Big Brother babe Miss Thomas.
Last year her affair with footballer Ryan Giggs was leaked on the social networking site.

Since then, the busty model has been joined at the hip to her Twitter account, posting semi-naked photos to her fans on a regular basis.
From bikini snaps to steamy shots of the model posing topless, it’s Imogen's favourite way to get things off her chest.
