They scrub up well! EastEnders might have lost the NTA but its leading ladies beat Corrie in the red carpet sexy style stakes

Every year the nation's two biggest soaps battle it out to be crowned king at the National Television Awards.
But even though Coronation Street beat EastEnders to win the award for Best Serial Drama on Wednesday night, it was the Walford girls who triumphed on the red carpet.
The stars of the BBC soap including Shona McGarty, Jacqueline Jossa and Rachel Bright pulled out all the stops in the style stakes, making the biggest impact of the night.

While Corrie stars Michelle Keegan, Brooke Vincent and Shobna Gulati also proved their fashion credentials at the annual TV awards at the O2, it was the girls of E20 who won the style battle.

Shona, 21, who plays Whitney in the long-running BBC soap stood out from the rest in a stylish and fashion forward black Henrietta Ludgate gown.
The actress, who is dating former co-star and Dancing On Ice contestant Matt Lapinskas, looked sultry with her jet black hair tied back in a chic knot.

Dapper David, who accepted his award in rather less than Cockney drawl, told the wild crowd not to criticise his 'beautiful' girlfriend.
