That was quick! Megan Fox quits Twitter after a week... saying she doesn't 'get the point' of social networking site

Some of our New Year's Resolutions may have been to waste less time on social networking websites and more connecting with friends in real life.
But being a much sought after star, Megan Fox’s was evidently the opposite.
However the actress has failed at what celebrities including Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian do so well and has decided to cancel her Twitter account, which she set up only one week ago.

The 26-year-old raked in more than 250,000 followers since starting at the beginning of the year on January 3, but is planning to deactivate her account as she can’t see a good reason for keeping it.
She wrote on Wednesday: ‘5 days on Twitter and I have yet to discern it's purpose. #WhatIsThePoint ???’
Then on Thursday she said Facebook post addressed to her 33 million subscribers that she can’t keep up with something she dislikes so much.
A private type: The actress tried to stay connected with her fans via the micro-blogging site
She explained: ‘Some of you may or may not have noticed by now that my Twitter account has been shut down. I thought that 2013 might be the year that I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly, but as it turns out, I still hate it.’
The wife of actor Brian Austin Green recently welcomed her first child Noah to the world, so it’s understandable that she may not have time to maintain several accounts.
She is also a very private person, working hard to conceal her pregnancy and did not even publicly reveal she had given birth until she was good and ready.

Megan added, ‘Love you guys but I will just never be that girl. Facebook is as much as I can handle. I'm sorry.’
During her short-lived time on the micro-blogging website, she showed off her Star Wars memorabilia and cheered on the Los Angeles Lakers.
She also tweeted a picture from her childhood, featuring herself and her parents dressed up in what she deemed ‘Wild West’ clothing.

Meanwhile, it has just been revealed the screen beauty will follow in the footsteps of Jennifer Lopez to be the guest of honour at the Rio Carnival - the luxurious box put up by beer brand Brahma.
Like the Latina singer, she will also become an ad girl as part of the lucrative deal and has already filmed a themed commercial to be played on Brazilian TV in the run-up for the Carnival.

Stills from the shoot show her wearing a sexy take on the famous colours of the national football team.
She has a Brahma cooler slung over her shoulders, like the ones used by beer sellers on the beaches of Rio, and in another shot she can be seen bending over to autograph the cooler.
According to reports, the former Transformers star will come to Rio for the world-famous event - which will take place around the second weekend of February this year - alongside her spouse and their newborn baby.
