'It's garbage but you gotta do it': Splash! contestant Tina Malone blasts ITV show and admits she's only doing it for the 'fat cheque'

They say you should never bite the hand that feeds, but Shameless star, Tina Malone has done just that.
The actress has branded the new ITV reality show Splash 'garbage' despite being on board to compete in the next episode.
The 49-year-old admitted that she is only taking part for the money, describing her motivation as being 'the big fat cheque'.

The show, hosted by Olympic bronze medalist, Tom Daley’s has been slated by critics.
But despite the backlash, the wet and wild reality show is proving to be a ratings hit, with last Saturday's first episode pulling in more than 6 million viewers.
The format sees five celebrities dive into a swimming pool. They are then scored by the judges – comedienne Jo Brand, Olympic silver medallist Leon Taylor and Team GB coach Andy Banks.

And now Malone, who is due to dive before the judges in the third week of the contest, has joined the critics in slamming the show.
Speaking on Liverpool radio station Juice FM, she said: ‘Diving off a three-metre board into an 18ft pool is absolutely horrendous. I’m 50 years of age in two weeks.
‘I haven’t seen my final swimming costume yet – but I hope it’s going to be a tent. But on a serious note I’m an actor, not a celebrity. It’s the big fat cheques that make me happy.

‘That’s why I’ve done Celebrity Come Dine With Me, Celebrity Four Weddings – which I won – and Celebrity Big Brother, which I knew I’d only be in for 15 days.
‘But, unfortunately, you have to do this garbage.
‘Don’t keep me in Splash!. I still get the same money if I do one heat or three heats, so don’t vote for Tina Malone. Thank you!’
Among the contenders are the Sugababes star Jade Ewen, TOWIE star Joey Essex, comedian Dom Joly and Changing Rooms presenter Linda Barker.
