Bald move! Bates Motel actress Olivia Cooke shaves her head to play cancer patient in new film

She's an up and coming actress making a name for herself in Hollywood.
And for her next role Bates Motel star Olivia Cooke has shorn off her luscious locks for an entirely new and hairless look.
The 20-year-old British actress showed off her freshly shaved head at Comic Con in San Diego on Friday, even posting an Instagram snap as friends rubbed her scalp for good luck.

In the social media photo she wears a sheer button down top, revealing her white bra, teamed with a pencil skirt.
Olivia has caught attention on A&E's Bates Motel playing the role of Emma, best friends with creepy Norman.
She had her big screen debut in horror film The Quiet Ones, which hit theatres earlier this year.

Olivia also had a role in science fiction film The Signal opposite Lawrence Fishburne and Brenton Thwaites in June.
But her new look is for a far graver role, one that could launch her as a serious actress in Hollywood.
Olivia plays a girl named Rachel who is dying from cancer in the film adaptation of Me & Earl & The Dying Girl.

The story follows two teenage boys who reluctantly befriend Rachel, who is battling leukemia, under the advice of their parents.
But the stakes in the friendship are suddenly raised when the dying girl decides to stop treatment, forcing both boys to take a stand.
The film has yet to set a release date.
