Katherine Jenkins shakes off her dip in form on Dancing with the Stars to party in sexy bandeau gown

Nights in purple satin! Katherine Jenkins shakes off her dip in form on Dancing with the Stars to party in sexy bandeau gown

She was the clear favourite for so long that it seemed a foregone conclusion that Katherine Jenkins would win Dancing with the Stars, but she is no longer in pole position.
It's not all down to the darling of the Welsh valleys, who has made a couple of mistakes and lacked passion, according to the judges, as she couldn't have bargained for Maria Menounos' second wind.
But Katherine put any doubts aside to stride out last night to the show's after party at Planet Dailies in a stunning purple gown.

Although her teeth did look a little gritted, perhaps because the words 'magical' 'heavenly' and 'beauty' that were directed at 33-year-old Menounos earlier in the evening swam in her pretty head.
The Extra host, paired with arguably the show's top professional Derek Hough, came from behind to bag the show's first perfect 30 last week with a stunning vampire-themed paso doble.
Jenkins was praised for her technical ability but left as very much the bridesmaid in the classical heat, a theme she must've have been confident she could truly own.

That she's been pictured getting close to Hough away from the competition must've been quite the rub as she listened to the judges praising his chemistry with Menounos last night.
However, after scoring her first low eight on Monday night's show, the blonde picked up in her trio round with a flawless cha-cha, which earned her a 29.
And emboldened by it, the Brit looked ready to have a good night.

Jenkins has joked that her outfits are being 'sabotaged' on the ABC show.
The star suffered a wardrobe malfunction on Monday night's show.
Her trousers were supposed to be removed during the routine, but one leg got stuck.
'It was a disaster. When the guys ripped my outfit off, it's perfectly in half so I thought it had gone really smoothly, and then I look down and...' Katherine told ET.

'I don't even know how it's worked that half a trouser leg is still there. It doesn't make any sense. We think it was sabotaged.'
The 31-year-old Welsh opera singer revealed she was rattled by the set-back but she and partner Mark Ballas managed to free her eventually, and make it all look like it was part of the act.
'We carried on. I might have looked like I was in control but underneath I was screaming,' the blonde added. 'I think we all were.'
