If the Californian climes weren't warm enough for the locals last night then Rihanna certainly made sure the mercury soared.

Because the pop star was snapped leaving dinner in Santa Monica last night in an outfit that left very little to the imagination.

And some might have said that it was very unsuitable attire which no doubt would have left her fellow diners choking on their pasta.

Rihanna was snapped leaving the Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi restaurant last night in a sexy two-piece outfit.

She wore a crocheted skirt which was very revealing with a lace bandeau top and brown strappy sandals.

The skirt gave the impression that she wasn't wearing any underwear as there was no visible panty line.

But even Rihanna is not that daring and on closer inspection it was clear that she was wearing flesh-coloured pants beneath the white knitted skirt.

And she had clearly avoided all carbs on the menu as she flaunted her flat toned stomach as she made her way to her waiting car with a friend.

Rihanna was taking a break from promoting her big screen debut, which si released in the US today.

But having now been bitten with the acting bug, Rihanna has been forced to deny that she will be starring in a biopic about Whitney Houston.

Speaking to MTV, she said: '[That's] just rumours. I never heard anything about that.'
