Dita Von Teese dresses in clear plastic gown made entirely out of biscuit trays as she hits the catwalk

Sweet treat! Dita Von Teese dresses in clear plastic gown made entirely out of biscuit trays as she hits the catwalk

She is usually seen dressed to the nines in an array of Forties-inspired fashion.
But burlesque queen Dita Von Teese stepped out of her style box and into an extravagant gown made entirely out of biscuit trays as she hit the catwalk on Monday night.
The plastic attire just managed to cover the 40-year-old's modesty as she sauntered down the runway at the Lambertz Monday Night event at the Alter Wartesaal restaurant in Cologne, Germany.

Lambertz is one of Germany's leading manufacturers of gingerbread, biscuits, tartlets and other traditional confectionery products.
Dita's dress was made out of clear biscuit trays, showing off plenty of her milky white complexion in the process.
During the show, the raven-haired star posed next to former Miss World winner Rosanna Davison, who was dressed in a coordinating red dress.

During the event, the former wife of Marilyn Manson was joined by several Hollywood stars, including Rosario Dawson, Mischa Barton and actress and former model, Bo Derek.

Former OC star Mischa opted for monochrome attire, wearing a conservative white shirt, black miniskirt and matching tuxedo jacket ensemble.
Rosario, meanwhile, displayed her curves in a slinky satin button-up dress, while Derek looked nowhere near her 56 years in her all-black outfit.
Dita has lent her face to food and beverage brands before - she most recently was the Ambassadress for alcoholic drink, Cointreau.

Dita, who was born in the farming town of Rochester, Michigan, has long had a fascination for the 1940s and retro fashion of the Golden age-era of Hollywood.
She pays close attention to every detail of her dress whether she's shopping at Fred Segal in West Hollywood or getting her nails done.
'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which is very, very true,' Dita told Bella Sugar.

'Everyone has different ideals on what is beautiful. I think it's wonderful that everyone has their own opinion. There is someone for everybody. One mantra is that I won't tolerate people who judge beauty vocally.
'Isn't it interesting when someone says, "I don't think she's pretty." I instantly zero in on the person saying it, and think "I never noticed how ugly you are." It is a strange thing to judge someone's appearance.'
The sapphire-eyed beauty allegedly adheres to a vegetarian diet and daily sessions of Pilates and sex to stay in shape.
Dita's romantic life seems to be as interesting as her stage performances - she was once married to Goth rocker Manson and has also dated actor Peter Sarsgaard, Mike Ness of the punk band Social Distortion and Count Louis-Marie De Castelbajac, a French actor and fashion designer.
She was recently linked to actor Russell Crowe, according to a report in New York Post's Page Six column, but the Gladiator star was quick to dispell the rumours, tweeting that they were 'friends, not lovers.'
