But Jessica Alba certainly wasn't protecting her assets as she hit the beach in St. Barts on Sunday.
The actress sported the beginnings of a painful sunburn while showing off her toned figure during a casual stroll along the coastline with husband Cash Warren.

The pair, married since 2008, looked ever the perfect couple in stylish swimwear.
Alba, 31, wore a purple bandeau top complemented by matching lavender-print bottoms that accentuated some major tan lines.
She gathered her ombre tresses in a messy bun atop the crown of her head and topped the look with a set of tortoiseshell sunglasses.
Husband Warren, 34, appeared sporting only a pair of blue-and-white-striped swim shorts for their leisurely stroll on the island, where they've joined pal Nicole Richie on vacation.

The tropical jaunt was a hard-earned respite for the Honest Company founder, whose book The Honest Life joined the New York Times Best Seller List just last week.
In addition, the actress recently wrapped production on two upcoming Robert Rodriguez installments, Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
She took advantage of her time on the island, beloved among stars like Gwen Stefani, Beyonce and Rachel Zoe, by stretching her defined arms in the shallow surf.

Later, the actress donned a simple multicolor sundress and a tan fedora to partake in an afternoon cocktail at a resort bar.
Alba and Warren traveled to the seaside hotspot with a group of friends.
The joyful starlet Tweeted on Sunday: 'Love vacay with the homies!' alongside a photo of her lounging with a group of bikini-clad ladies including close pal Nicole Richie.

The vocalist currently works as a coach on the Australian edition of The Voice, now in its second season.

To protect her face from the harsh sunlight, the 31-year-old socialite accessorized her ensemble with a cream belted Panama hat before gracefully testing the crystal-blue waters.
