Classic mystery gets a raunchy revamp with Joanna Vanderham playing sultry American heiress

Miss Marple just got sexy! Classic mystery gets a raunchy revamp with Joanna Vanderham playing sultry American heiress

She may not be the sexiest of sleuths but there is no fooling Agatha Christie's Miss Marple.
And ITV bosses are obviously hoping the wisened old spinster will still entice audiences - especially with the added glamour factor of gorgeous actress Joanna Vanderham in the mix.
Filming has begun for the latest adaptation of the detective stories written by Christie - although Miss Marple remains as an elderly spinster, her surrounding cast is notably glamorous.

They quickly fall in love, and make plans to marry and build their dream home; their happiness tainted only by the threats and warnings of local gypsy, Mrs Lee (Janet Henfrey).

They tie the knot in a secret ceremony; but it’s not long before Ellie’s stepmother, Cora Van Stuyvesant (Glynis Barber), and lawyer, Andrew Lippincott (William Hope), descend.
When she twists her ankle, Ellie invites her one true friend, Greta Anderson to stay.
