Emma Rigby transforms into a vampy Red Queen as she makes her US TV debut in ABC's Once Upon A Time In Wonderland

A million miles from Hollyoaks: Emma Rigby transforms into a vampy Red Queen as she makes her US TV debut in ABC's Once Upon A Time In Wonderland

She's best-known for her five-year stint playing troubled teen Hannah Ashworth in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
But Emma Rigby has transformed into her sexiest role to date in a sneak peek of brand new ABC series, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, in which she plays the murderous Red Queen.
Casting aside her squeaky-clean image and making her debut on American television, the 23-year-old actress vamped it up as she positively smouldered as her seductress alter-ego.

Showing off her incredible figure in just a skimpy red basque, the former soap beauty accentuated her stunning features with dramatic dark make-up and piercing berry lips.
While Emma's appearance in the brand new trailer for the upcoming ABC show was somewhat fleeting, her feisty demeanour suggested her character will be far from forgettable.
Based on Lewis Carroll's iconic fairytale tome Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, the scene opens with protagonist Alice - played by Sophie Lowe - being led down a hall in what appears to be a mental institution.

She then enters a room, where she is asked a series of questions by doctors, who seem to be concerned of the tales she has told of the fantasy land she has encountered after falling down a rabbit hole.
One of the men fumes: 'You encountered all of these things by merely falling down a rabbit hole? Alice, if you wish to be released from this facility you must co-operate with us.
'You were an ignored little girl who wanted to be loved. You created a fantasy land who helped you become who you wanted to become.

'You're not the first one to do it. But you're the first one to grow up and still believe in it.'
It is then that the character, who is older than the traditional Alice, is transported back to her time in Wonderland, as images of the murderous Red Queen - played by Emma - as well as the iconic white rabbit and a hookah-smoking caterpillar flash up.
The protagonist appears keen to turn her back on the mystery world and forget all memories of her former love, a genie named Cyrus - played by Peter Gadiot - until she's offered the opportunity to go back and secure proof of the existence of Wonderland.

Emma has been hotly in-demand since her Hollyoaks days drew to a close in 2010, during which time she won the British Soap Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of her alter-ego Hannah Ashworth's battle with anorexia.
After a string of UK television appearances, the Liverpool-born actress began filming new movie Plastic alongside Sebastian de Souza and Alfie Allen in Miami, Florida, in January.
