When most teenagers toast their 19th birthday, it tends to mark a debauched night of partying and drinking to excess.
But Tom Daley proved himself to be the ultimate sophisticated gentleman as he celebrated his final year as a teen with a very grown-up bash on Tuesday night.
Instead of hitting a dirty club followed by a greasy kebab shop, the Olympic diver chose to celebrate his birthday in style, joining friends for rooftop cocktails and dinner at sleek American steakhouse STK, downstairs at London's exclusive ME Hotel.

Suited, booted and looking every inch the dapper dude, the athlete posted a number of snaps of him and his pals on his Twitter page, showing them sipping drinks as they overlooked the capital's skyline.
As well as being surrounded by a gang of his male mates, the teen idol was surrounded by a bevy of blonde beauties as he toasted his special day.
Posting his birthday pictures on his Instagram page, Tom wrote: 'The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!'

And the star certainly seemed to be looking forward to his night out on the town, writing on Twitter earlier in the day: 'Good to be back!! birthday celebrations tonight :D.'
The group then made their way downstairs to enjoy their meal at STK before leaving the hotel in high spirits later in the evening.
Giggling away together as the gang emerged from the exclusive venue, Tom looked dapper in a grey blazer jacket, sky blue shirt and tailored black trousers.

But ever the doting sportsman, Tom didn't even mind posing for photographs with a number of young female fans as he made his way to the car before heading off to Funky Buddha nightclub in Mayfair.
However, the star's birthday was tinged with sadness, as Monday marked the second anniversary of the death of Tom's late father Robert.

Posting a touching photographic tribute on his Instagram page, the sportsman shared a snap of him as a child cuddled up to his beloved dad while on holiday.
Alongside it, he wrote: '2 years <3.'
Tom has previously explained that in spite of his diving commitments and role on surprise hit TV show Splash, he still enjoys nothing more than a night out with his pals.
He told The Sun earlier this year: 'Despite the show and my diving, I still get to have a social life and see my friends.
'I want a girlfriend but I’m too busy for a relationship at the moment. That will just have to wait.'
