Actress Emma Rigby dyes her blonde locks brunette to play vampire in The Union's music video

Going to the dark side! Actress Emma Rigby dyes her blonde locks brunette to play vampire in music video

She may have missed out in starring in the biggest vampire franchise of the century, but Emma Rigby certainly sunk her teeth into her most recent sinister role.
The former Hollyoaks actress plays a vampire and dons a brunette wig in The Union's accompanying video for new single Tonight I'm Alive.
Sadly for lead singer Pete Shoulder and guitarist Luke Morley, they end up dead, with two bite marks left on their necks by Emma's creature of the night.

The video begins with Emma, 23, and her trademark blonde locks, seemingly the picture of innocence as she climbs a set of stairs, holding a candelabra and wearing a vintage cream nightie.
She then sits herself at a dressing table to get herself ready for a night out at the gig where the band are performing.
As soon as she gets the guestlist go-ahead from Pete, the actress takes her dress up further by donning a brunette wig and turning her angelic outfit gothic with black lace and a floral headdress.

Getting access to the backstage area, Emma awaits the musician's in their dressing room, before showing her fans and feeding off their creative juices... literally.
Guitarist Luke Morley said he had his wife to thank for Rigby's guest appearance.
'We were delighted Emma was up for being in the video,' he told The Daily Star. 'My wife worked with Emma on Prisoner's Wives and, when it turned out Emma was a fan of our last album, she was the natural person to ask.'
'Pete and I are barely in the video, which isn't a bad thing!'

Next on the cards for Emma will be her American TV debut in ABC's Once Upon A Time In Wonderland.
The former soapstar has landed the coveted part of The Red Queen - not to be confused with the Queen of Hearts - in the spin-off show from the channel's popular fantasy show Once Upon A Time starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison.
Just as the parent series follows the lives of the characters after they were transported to Earth's reality when the evil witch Regina put a curse on the fairytale world, the new series will centre it's action on present-day Wonderland, with flashbacks to a pre-Curse Wonderland.
Once Upon A Time In Wonderland will air on ABC on October 10, 2013.
