The glitz and glamour of Strictly Come Dancing helped the show take the lead as it beat rival The X Factor in the Saturday night ratings battle.
Strictly's second live show of the series saw model Abbey Clancy top the scoreboard after all 15 couple had strutted their stuff, with 32 points.
The BBC1 show averaged 1.4 million viewers more than the ITV1 singing contest.

And BBC1's popular show also thrashed the final of ITV's own celebrity dance show, Stepping Out, with an audience almost four times bigger.
Strictly had an average audience of 9.2 million viewers, which was half a million ahead of this stage of the contest last year.
    The X Factor, which reached the boot camp stage of the competition, pulled in an average of 7.8 million, one million viewers down on last Saturday.

    While the celebrity dancing show peaked at an impressive 10.2 million ahead of The X Factor's 8.8 million.
    Charlotte Moore, controller at the BBC1, said: 'Saturday nights on BBC One are back in style, with over 10 million viewers tuning in for Strictly and new fantasy adventure drama Atlantis off to a brilliant start.'
    It was a jam-packed night of entertainment on both channels, as nine celebrities made their first outing onto the dancefloor and singers were whittled down in both the girls and the overs categories on X Factor.

    Model Abbey impressed the judges with her waltz, scoring eights across the board, while Dave Myers and Tony Jacklin found themselves at the bottom of the heap.
    The stars also performing over the two episodes included Vanesssa Feltz, Sophie Ellis Bextor,  Deborah Meaden and Julien Mcdonald.
    Over on X Factor a lot of tears were shed as Nicole Scherzinger picked her final six girls who will go forward to the judges houses stage.
    Among those selected were Jade Richards and Tamera Foster who sang their hearts out in front of the panel.
