Miss Dynamix are shown the exit following shock sing-off with teenager Hannah Barrett on The X Factor

'We showed people we can actually sing!' Miss Dynamix are shown the exit following shock sing-off with teenager Hannah Barrett on The X Factor

It promised to be a blockbuster - and it didn't disappoint.
Indeed, while the likes of Kingsland Road and Sam Callahan were amongst the favourites to face Miss Dynamix in the sing-off, it was teenager Hannah Barrett who drew the short straw, much to the astonishment of those in attendance.
Despite the drama, Hannah pulled out all the stops with an emotional performance of Emeli Sande's Read All About It.

With her voice breaking towards the end of the song, the teenager was cheered on by the audience at Fountain Studios before getting a warm embrace from her rivals.
The girl-group had plenty to prove after getting a bye to this week's show, and they almost nailed it with a rousing rendition of Swedish House Mafia hit Don't You Worry Child.
Hannah's mentor Nicole was charged with the task of voting first, and the former Pussycat Doll predictably opted to save her own act.
Next up was Miss Dynamix mentor Gary.
'This is one of the biggest shocks of the night and you need to pick yourself up after this,' he said. 'But I've got to stick with my girls. The act I'm sending home is Hannah.'

The no deadlock rule meant Sharon's vote was the decider - and after a moment of deliberation she voted to save Hannah, a decision that effectively pushed Miss Dynamix through the exit.
'Hannah is world class and I would've saved her,' admitted Louis after asking which way he would have swung.
Gary urged the band to continue beyond the competition, and the girls admitted they would persevere, despite the setback.
'We left the show showing people we can actually sing,' said band-member Jeanette Akua.

The credits initially rolled on movie night with Miss Dynamix falling foul of the flash vote, and the beleaguered trio were first to lend their vocals to the obligatory 'group' performance - a cover of Bruno Mars hit Locked Out Of Heaven.
That performance came at the top of an uncertain night for the hopefuls who were still in the dark about who they would face in the sing-off - and the nervous wait was prolonged by two stellar performances from The Wanted and Lady Gaga.

Both have records to promote, and the British boyband, looking suave in matching black two-piece suits, were first up with latest single Show Me Love (America).
But while their performance generated wild applause, the night was all about the outlandish Lady Gaga, whose performance began with the singer surrounded by scantily clad dancers while she broke into the opening acoustic strains of new promotional track Venus.
With an apt back drop - Botticelli's Birth Of Venus - the singer, wearing a long blonde wig, performed in flesh coloured lingerie embellished with sea shells that were ripped off long before the track reached its first chorus.

Gaga has an album on the near horizon, so it made sense to perform not one, but two tracks from forthcoming third long-player ARTPOP.
With Venus segueing into latest single Do What U Want, Gagaa ripped off the blonde wig and made a beeline for her piano in what would be, by her own bizarre standards, a low-key performance.
''I've been working on ARTPOP for two years now and I wanted to show the breadth of the album, and Venus is the first single I've produced on my own,' she said to rapturous applause after being asked why she performed two tracks.

Gaga also admitted that her recent spat with judge Sharon Osbourne was past tense after they buried the hatchet during a night out in London on Saturday night.
'We hung out at G.A.Y last night!' she squealed before racing over to embrace Mrs. O.
The two performances were over, and it was down to the serious business - results.
Rough Copy were first to learn they were through, closely followed by teenager Abi Alton.

Luke Friend and Tamera Foster came next, with Scottish youngster Nicolas McDonald making it five acts through to the next show.
Sam Bailey, Sharon's final act, was next through, followed by East Londoner's Kingsland Road.
With only one more act certain of a place in next week's show, the odds were on Hannah Barrett to make it through - but surprisingly it was Sam Callahan who came next, meaning the teenager would face Miss Dynamix in the sing-off.
The X Factor continues next Saturday on ITV1.
