Strictly Come Dancing's Patrick Robinson is concerned about aggravating knee injury

Strictly Come Dancing's Patrick Robinson is concerned about aggravating knee injury... and says he whacked dance partner in rehearsals

The pressure's on for Patrick Robinson on Saturday night's episode of Strictly Come Dancing, as he may have bitten off more than he can chew with his energetic Charleston routine.
The 50-year-old Casualty actor, who has consistently risen towards the top of the leader board, plans to fly around the dance floor at the wheel of a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang replica.
He will take the trip in the famous magical airborne car, which was created by author Ian Fleming, to celebrate Musicals week on the BBC1 dance show.

Patrick will once again be performing with professional dance partner, Anya Garnis, but it seems like the pair are both at risk of injury if Patrick times some of his steps incorrectly.
The drama star, who was pictured rehearsing at Elstree's studios on Friday, is worried about aggravating his old knee disorder - or potentially kicking Garnis if his moves are not spot-on.
'I'm trying not to think about it. This one takes it on the knees,' he said.

'There's an old injury on my knee and sometimes it can get inflamed so I've got to keep my eye on it. If I do too much movement, then it gets fluid on it again.'
And as if that wasn't worry enough, the star said he has already managed to give Garnis a whack during rehearsals and he is concerned that he might accidentally do the same thing again.
'One of our lifts has a slide involved and basically Anya goes in between my legs. I could kick her in the nose or head if it goes wrong. It could be a matter of centimetres,' he said.

'I have kicked her a couple of times during training. Of course there is always the pressure to do all the steps in the dance right.
'There have been issues with me, my wrist - there is slight pressure on me to make the lifts work. I know I can't afford to make any mistakes - the pressure's on this weekend.'
Robinson added: 'Hopefully Chitty will drive us through to next week and not stall us in the competition.'
