purple satin crop top at the Z100 Jingle Ball

For a girl who doesn't like to work out, Selena Gomez was in great shape as she hit up Z100's Jingle Ball 2013 at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday.
The 21-year-old singer drew gazes courtesy of a purple satin cropped top that showed off her pancake-flat stomach as she sat down for the Q&A portion of the show.
Selena matched her midriff-baring jersey with black trousers and strappy black heels, and she wore her dark hair pulled back in a chic version of the French braid.

The fresh-faced singer was in good spirits as she held the microphone and sat perched on the edge of a couch.
Later she posed arm-in-arm with Z100 radio personality JJ Kincaid at the event, which was presented by Aeropostale.
The show featured an impressive list of performers, including Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Ariana Grande, Enrique Iglesias, Paramore, Pitbull, Austin Mahone and Jason Derulo.

Selena later took to the stage in the same red one-piece draped in a sheer black lace dress that she wore during her performance at KIIS FM's Jingle Ball in Los Angeles on December 6.
This time, Selena ditched the bob-style wig and let her own, wild mane of hair down.
The outfit featured a black lace choker and black lace-up boots.

Selena captivated the live audience by belting out a tune while being hoisted into the air by four male back-up dancers one minute and then falling backwards in a bend the next.
As Selena told Teen Vogue last month, she considers performing the best workout.
'Honestly, I’ve never liked working out,' she said. 'I need to be active in some way, though - that’s why I kind of secretly do it for my show. We have 13 choreographed pieces, and it’s a 90-minute set. I consider that my workout!'

The energetic performance appeared to go without a hitch - unlike last Friday's show.
Selena allegedly 'swore before storming off the stage mid-performance' at KIIS FM's Jingle Ball.
The young entertainer reportedly cut short her show at the Los Angeles holiday concert after experiencing some technical difficulties with the sound system.
She is said to have abruptly exited the stage but not before allegedly unleashing some colourful language on her way out, to an audience largely filled with young people.
When things started to not go her way during the performance, Selena is said to have dropped the f-bomb just before leaving the stage abruptly, according to Us Weekly and HollywoodLife.
Selena was heard yelling over the packed audience: 'Sorry, the sound isn't working!'
