Lost for words, a blubbering Mrs O, could not even muster up a few words, which led presenter Dermot O'Leary to say: 'That says it all.'
An equally emotional Sam told Dermot: 'In the time that I've bee in this competition I've grown not only as a person but in my music.
'There's one person that's been so inspirational and that's Sharon Osbourne and I love her to pieces.'
Co-presenter Caroline Flack, who was in the audience with Sam's family, asked Sam's son, Tommy, 4,  what he thought, to which he said: 'Mummy's going to win.'

'It's been my honour to sit here and watch you grow - congratulations to everything you've achieved that song was amazing.'

'But it's going to be a memorable night tonight - I'm going to sing with my lifelong hero Elton John.
'I love the show and I love being on this panel.'
All the X Factor 2013 contestants returned to the stage to kick off the show by performing Roar by Katy Perry.

Edit
There was even a bit of drama on the night when longest-serving judge, Louis Walsh was not going to let the show pass by without a dig at Nicole Scherzinger, who completely stole the limelight from duet partner Sam Bailey on the show.
When asked by Dermot about what he thought of the duets, Louis said: 'The highlight was Nicholas and Shane because he let him sing, unlike some people - Nicole!'
Sharon added that her highlight of the evening was also Sam's duet with Nicole.
Gary Barlow agreed and added: 'Absoltuely I thought it was mesmerising.'
Nicole was not phased by the comment from Louis, and took it all in her stride simple adding: 'I love my x factor family'.
'Oh my gosh, sharing the stage with Sam and being up here with my X Factor family. I am going to miss you guys.'

Nicholas kicked off the night's performances with In The Arms Of An Angel by Sarah McLachlan.

It was really tough to pick to highlight between three of four songs.'
Sam's choice of song for the evening was The Power of Love, by Jennifer Rush, reminds her of family love because it was her mum's favourite song.
Appearing in a red lace dress, that looked incredibly similar to her mentor's Sharon, she owned the performance with no one but herself on stage.
Gary said: 'I know this is your song of the series, for me you could have sung any song because every single performance has been amazing just listen to the roar in Wembley.
'Anyone at home whose assuming you've won the show, please pick up the phone and vote for Sam Bailey.'

But she failed to impress television viewers with her performance on The X Factor live final at London's Wembley Arena on Sunday night.
The 29-year-old singer well and truly lit up the stage in a grand finale that was distinctly lacking glamour, as she plunged down from the ceiling of the iconic venue in a giant cage.

Surrounded by a troupe of dancers, the pop megastar showcased her incredible figure in a skimpy ensemble that saw her dressed as a winged gold bird as she belted out her smash hit, Unbreakable.
Strutting her stuff in merely a skimpy gold bejewelled bustier with dramatic feather detail at the shoulders, the star adorned her raven locks with a Grecian-inspired gold leaf headband.
Katy completed her striking winged and feather enemble with a pair of racy fishnet stockings and skyscraper heels, and injected a bolt of colour to her perfect porcelain skin with a slick of vampy berry lipstick.
Gary Barlow also got to sing with his hero, Elton John on the evening, and both sat at pianos whilst they played away together.
