While the Dancing On Ice mentors are both in separate relationships – Christopher with Karen Barber, a judge on the ITV show, and Jayne with her husband of 24 years, Phil Christensen – the pair have previously admitted to being romantically involved once before when they were both single.
It is a subject the duo have not talked about too often but Christopher admits the pair were 'really close' during their brief romantic spell together.
He added to The Sun: 'We were very involved. We were really close — we spent so many hours together training week in, week out.'Retrospective performance: Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean dancing the Bolero
