Brooke Vincent is the star of a charity netball match...but Coronation Street still lose to Emmerdale

Good ball skills! Brooke Vincent is the star of a charity netball match...but Coronation Street still lose to Emmerdale

As Coronation Street's Sophie Webster she's used to throwing herself into sticky situations.
And it seems the actress Brooke Vincent - who plays the character in the popular ITV soap - isn't afraid to give it her all either.
The 22-year-old actress showed off her impressive ball skills and enviable legs on the netball court in a soap charity match held in Manchester on Saturday.

Brooke did her best to defend Coronation Street's honour against Emmerdale in the second ITV Text Santa charity match held at the Thunder Dome Stadium in Manchester.
The star - who was wearing a custom-made black and yellow netball dress which she accessorised with a matching ribbon in her long hair - was a ball of energy on the court as she did her best to stop the Emmerdale team from scoring goals.
Tensions ran high during the match and at one point there was a bit of soap style drama between Emmerdale captain Charley Webb and Brooke.

Katy Cavanagh - who plays Julie Carp in the soap - led the Corrie team made up of Brooke, Jane Danson, Tisha Merry, and Hayley Tamaddon and also netball players from Superleague team Manchester Thunder.
But despite their best attempts to achieve a second win, it was their soap rivals Emmerdale who were the new victors.
Charley, who plays Debbie Dingle on Emmerdale, took her team made up of Eden Taylor-Draper, Michelle Hardwick, Sammy Winward and Amy Walsh, with some players from Yorkshire Jets, to a triumphant 18-22 win.
The Yorkshire-based soap scored a six-goal lead in the opening five minutes leaving their Manchester rivals for dust.

After the game, Charley told Manchester Evening News: 'I think we played really well and we worked so hard as a team. We deserve this. I have been practising as much as I could.
'We were so up for this, we have been for ages and we all just wanted to raise as much money for charity as possible. I will definitely be back next year.'
Both sets were cheered on by their soap co-stars in the 1,000 strong crowd, including Coronation Street's Amy Kelly and Emmerdale's Danny Miller.
And an auction of signed dresses from each team raised more than £1500 for Text Santa.
