'There is only one true king': Jason Momoa makes first appearance as Aquaman in post shared by Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder

Jason Momoa is known for his role as the headstrong warrior who once led the Dothraki people in HBO's hit series Game Of Thrones.
And it appears the 35-year-old is taking his impressive physique and fear-inducing glower to breathe life into a new adapted character: Aquaman.
On Thursday Zack Snyder tweeted a photo of the actor decked out in Aquaman regalia - and equipped with a large trident - which appeared to finally confirm rumours he would appear in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

In the photo Jason wears armor along his biceps and forearm, but bares his chiseled chest, revealing Maori-inspired tattoos.
He continues to sport his signature long, dark locks and accompanying beard and mustache, as well as his kohl-rimmed eyes.
Additionally, he holds Aquaman's iconic trident as he stares intensely at the camera, in a photograph covered by the words: 'Unite the Seven.'

The seven could of course mean the seven seas, or the Justice League, as part one of the Justice League's film has been announced for release in 2017.
The Justice League is made up of Aquaman, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Green Lantern, and The Flash.

The Conan the Barbarian actor will also star in his own Aquaman solo film, which is set to be released in July of 2018.
It was first reported by Hitfix back in June that Jason would be starring in the upcoming Batman v Superman movie. However, the actor had since denied involvement in the film.
But with this tweet by its director, it sure looks like Jason will be joining Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, and Jesse Eisenberg.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit theaters March 25, 2016.
