'I was really mean because I was so fed up!' Vanessa Hudgens reveals the struggles she faced dating ex Zac Efron

Dating a heartthrob not all it is cracked up to be.
Vanessa Hudgens has revealed her relationship with Zac Efron made her a bad person at times.
The 26-year-old has told the New York Times that she struggled during her very public relationship with her onscreen High School Musical.

Vanessa Hudgens has revealed she struggled with the attention Zac Efron got during their relationship
In their five years together - the pair met on the set of the Disney movie in 2005 - the star said she found herself frustrated and lashing out.
However, it was not Zac that was the issue but rather the attention he got from his legion of female fans.
The Spring Breakers star said: 'I went through a phase when I was really mean because I was so fed up.

'Girls were running after him, and I was giving them death stares. Then I realised that's not what that's about. ''Spread the love, be a good person, they support you, be nice.'''
While she may have learnt to deal with the girls, their relationship did not last the distance.
The actress - who is currently starring in stage musical Gigi - has of course since moved on with live-in boyfriend and fellow actor Austin Butler.
She is seen in a snap from her Instagram baring her toned stomach in a black crop top on Monday.
She captioned it: 'Baby dolls it's cloudy in NY, but I'm ready for the spring sun to kick in!
Vanessa told the Times that not only has she found happiness with Austin, she has also found a renewed passion for Christianity.
Raised Catholic, the star said she 'never felt very connected to it' but has been able to find a closer connection through Australian mega church Hillsong, which her boyfriend is a member of.
She said of the Pentecostal services: 'It feels like Arcade Fire - it's epic like that.
'They really focus on you having your own personal relationship with Jesus, which is wonderful.'
Vanessa also says at heart she is a bit of a hippie when it comes to spirituality and life as a whole.
'I'm a definite hippie. I'm literally my happiest self when I'm dancing half naked on a grass field listening to Led Zeppelin.'
New role: Vanessa is currently starring as the title role of musical Gigi, which is now on Broadway

In her new musical role based on Colette's 1944 novel, Vanessa gets to push the boundaries as a precocious and free-spirited courtesan-in-training who strikes up a friendship with a wealthy playboy
According to the star, it is a celebration of strong women: 'It literally felt like it was a massive group of feminists, you could just feel the serious girl power in the room.'
Vanessa said she has in the past struggled to define herself as a feminist - but that has now changed.
'When yo hair crazy and your boy don't pick up the phone' Vanessa shared this photo on Saturday night as she hung out with her Broadway show cast mates

'I used to be on the fence about it just because I feel like it gets to a certain place where it almost has the reverse effect, where it's so overpowering and so aggressive that it's like rather than just standing up for female pride and female rights, it becomes, like, ''I am the man.''
'But now I feel like there's this new wave of feminists coming up that are truly about equal rights for women. I mean, Beyoncé is, like, killing the game, and I love her.'
Wild Saturday night: The singer had a blast with pals after the opening night of her show and wrote alongside this snap 'BEST. NIGHT. EVER. Gigi blessings, NY nights with my girl Steffanie, and danced my face off with Alan Cumming. Saturday night was one for the books.'

Adorable rare clouded leopard cubs make their first appearance at Florida zoo at just three weeks old

Is it time for a cat nap yet? Adorable rare clouded leopard cubs make their first appearance at Florida zoo at just three weeks old

  • Endangered female kittens were born at Zoo Miami in Florida just three weeks ago, the facility said on Monday
  • They are being held in enclosure with mother to 'avoid any external stress and allow them to all properly bond'
  • They already sport the clouded leopard's characteristic large, dark and cloud-like spots on a light background
  • Birth is a victory in the fight to preserve vulnerable species, which is not closely related to the African leopard
With their tiny pink noses, soft furry coats and sleepy eyes, these two clouded leopard cubs are simply adorable.
The highly endangered kittens, which are both female, were born at Zoo Miami in Florida just three weeks ago, a treat for the facility's doting keepers.
They are currently being held in an enclosure with their mother, Serai, to 'avoid any external stress and allow the mother to properly bond with them'.

Both Serai, and the cubs' father, Rajasi, were born in 2011 in other American zoos. The newborn kittens are the parents' second successful litter.
The tiny cats, which are yet to be named, already sport the clouded leopard's characteristic large, dark and cloud-like spots on a light background.
Their birth is a victory in the fight to preserve a vulnerable species, which is not closely related to the African leopard.
'Both offspring are doing well and the mother continues to be attentive and nurse them on a regular basis,' the zoo told AP on Monday.
Visitors should be able to view the kittens in the coming weeks.
The clouded leopard, which is medium sized, lives in forests of South East Asia. In total, fewer than 10,000 are thought to exist in the wild.

Found in the wild in southern China, Myanmar and Malaysia, adult clouded leopards typically weigh between 30 and 50 pounds (14 to 23 kilograms).
The secretive cats have a very long tail with relatively short legs and large paws.
They eat birds and mammals such as monkeys, deer and porcupines, and are, in turn, prey to human hunters who prize them for their pelts.

Tulisa has been open about her ordeal, which resulted in her losing her job as an X Factor judge and forces her to put her career on hold.
'I genuinely had my ups and downs throughout the year, I had moments when I woke up in the morning and I was like "I can do this, I’m gonna get through this', she said during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.
'Then there were days when I was literally crying my eyes out on the bathroom floor with a bottle of vodka.
'It really did vary on the day and the moment but I would say my overall approach to the situation was to stay strong and I knew in my mind I had to stay strong, I didn’t really have a choice.'

Selena Gomez works up a sweat as she chops wood on the set of her new period drama in Georgia

Selena Gomez works up a sweat as she chops wood on the set of her new period drama in Georgia

She is filming her new drama In Dubious Battle in Atlanta, Georgia.
And it appears that Selena Gomez's character is quite the multitasker.
Just hours after being pictured cradling an infant on the set of the period flick, the starlet channeled her more masculine side as she chopped away at some wood.

The 22-year-old plays young mother Lisa London in onscreen adaptation of the 1936 novel by John Steinbeck.
She could be seen dressed in 1930's garb, a simple cotton floral frock with buttons on the front and frilled sleeves.
She also donned some modern black wellington boots hinting that she was just practicing her wood-chopping skills in-between takes.
Quite the multitasker: The 22-year-old star appeared to have a firm grip on the axe as she steadied herself with her foot on the tree stump. A toy baby lay on a seat beside her

Previously the singer was seen cradling a baby to her chest while awaiting director James Franco's instruction ahead of a rural scene.
Selena appeared rather taken with the tot as she mingled with co-star Josh Hutcherson before taking centre stage amongst an ensemble cast of extras dressed as farm workers.
But if she looked like an expert as she cradled the baby, it was with good reason – the actress had previously been given a lifelike doll with which to practice shortly after arriving on set.

Making sure not to fall as she made her way around the uneven field upon which they filmed, Selena rehearsed with the doll for close to two hours before being trusted with the real thing.
The actress later caught the eye of visiting producers Andrea iervolino and Monika Bacardi - both of whom crowded round to get a glimpse of the baby.
Their latest venture, set during the Great Depression, tells the story of an activist who gets caught up in a labour movement with Californian farm workers.

The actress joined her A-list cast for another day of production of the period piece but took time out of her busy shooting schedule to show off her glamorous side with a throwback photo on her Instagram page.
The multihypenate entertainer sported a disheveled hairstyle with her long brunette tresses loosely gathered in a low ponytail.
Selena did her best to appear as the hard-working woman by showing her Selenator fans her glamorous side on social media also on Friday

The ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber shared a snap of herself from a prior photo shoot displaying a cleavage baring ensemble while looking seductive on a sandy beach.
With full makeup and hair treatment no doubt completed by a glam squad, the pop star was all dolled up for the photo spread.
Most recently, Selena just finished filming The Revised Fundamentals Of Caregiving in the same Georgia capital with actor Paul Rudd.

In addition to her dramatic movies, the star is anticipating the September 25 release of the animated sequel Hotel Transylvania 2 in which she reprises her voiceover role of Mavis.
Music wise, her EDM single I Want You To Know with alleged beau Zedd continues to stay on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber gave some helpful advice and ideas to comedian Jeff Ross for him to use at recent Bieber's Comedy Central Roast.

Self-proclaimed Roastmaster General and the event's organizer Jeff Ross revealed that he reached out to the 21-year-old crooner's former love for ideas on how to make fun of Justin.
'I talked to Selena Gomez,' he shared to Huff Post about his research to dig up dirt.

The Comedy Central special aired on March 30.
