In the comics and TV show, Jubilee was a fan favourite despite having the relatively unexciting powers of shooting 'pyrotechnic energy plasmoids' - essentially fireworks - from her hands, which never had any effect on super-villains besides occasionally distracting them.
Jubilee is a wealthy Chinese American teen gymnast living in moneyed Bevely Hills, who becomes an orphan when hitmen target her parents.
She is usually recognisable by her trademark yellow trenchcoat.
In the comics and 1990s cartoon she develops a strong relationship with Wolverine who she looks to as a father figure; however there are no details yet of her storyline in 2016's X-Men Apocalypse.

The writers will have a bit of retconning to do, since the teenager - who's real name is Jubilation Lee - already appeared in the first three X Men movies, albeit fleetingly.
In 2000's X-Men she briefly appeared alongside Rogue as she attends Professor Xavier's class - played by Katrina Florece in her only ever role - unmistakable in her quirky shades, yellow gloves and of course bright yellow fleece.
in X2: X-Men United and X-Men: The Last Stand the role was played by Kea Wong, but again it was non-speaking and the character didn't really do anything.
Last year it was revealed that Jubliee was an early consideration for inclusion in X-Men: Days Of Future Past after concept art for her costume were leaked online, but she never made it past the artist's studio.
Nice to meet Hugh: In the 90s cartoon and comics, the teenage shares a strong bond with Wolverine -who is played by Hugh Jackman in the film - although it is not yet known if this will be explored in the new movie

Singer will be glad he has new mutants to introduce, after Jennifer Lawrence confirmed on Monday that she will now longer play Mistique and that the next X-Men film will be her last. Her fellow blue mutant Nicholas Hoult who plays Beast also hinted at the same.
In X-Men Apocalypse, Professor X's mutants face off against the immortal En Sabah Nur AKA Apocalypse, an immensely powerful being who commands The Four Horsemen as his personal guard; Death, War, Famine and Pepestilence, whose mantles have been taken up by various mutants throughout history.
All five are seen in the end credit scene of Days Of Future Past, as Apocalypse builds the great pyramid of Egypt, where he reigned as a deity.
