According to the 27-year-old actress, she was shocked after finding out her character Tina McIntyre was going to be killed off, making a potential comeback impossible.

'[When I left the show] my only dream was to work again,' she modestly confessed. 'I was like, "Please God, let me work".
'As an actress, there is something very reassuring about working on a soap. You're working every day and it's regular work. So I guess [Corrie] was a bit of a safety blanket.'
The star revealed that show bosses had initially said the door would be left open for her return - but then changed their minds just three months later.

'It wasn't an easy decision to leave the show and jump ship. It took me a few years to actually do it. I still miss everyone [from Corrie].'
