The Welsh singer frankly told the Sunday People: 'Now I'm married I do want kids.'
She added: 'I do really want a family. Please God, touch wood, we'll be lucky and they'll be fit and healthy. That's all I care about.'
'Having kids is on the list of priorities. We'll see what happens.'
In another interview talking about her dream of becoming a parent, Katherine told Fabulous Magazine that she will make sure any children she has come first, and not her career.
The singer explained that, following the birth of her nephew, she was more broody than ever, and said of her sister Laura: 'She's got this natural maternal instinct and I want to experience that myself.

'I really want children. The next question is 'How will I make the family dream happen?' I'm looking forward to that and I think it will be a challenge. I want to be able to put my children first.'.
She continued: 'I think that's really hard to do when you're on the road.'
And it's something she's wanted for a long time: as far back as 2011 - before she was with Andrew - she openly talked about wanting a family.
'I would love to do opera and, on a personal level, I hope I'm lucky enough to have children one day. I come from a big family and children are a gift,' she told Country and Townhouse magazine in 2012.

And in 2011, Katherine told WalesOnline: 'If you're lucky enough to have kids, you want to enjoy it. I don't want to compromise on that.
'I will make a decision to be a really good mum; that's what I'd want to focus on. Hopefully, I would be able to come back afterwards. If I can't, I'll just enjoy being a mum.
'Honestly, family is so important to me. It's much more important than my career.'
Katherine and Andrew married in a beautiful ceremony at Hampton Court on September 28 2014, so their happy announcement comes just seven months after tying the knot.
Their extravagant nuptials came less than a year after Katherine met 37-year-old Andrew, an American artist and filmmaker.
