Fast food lover: Chris Brown, 26, reveals he owns 14 Burger King restaurants

Chris Brown isn't a slouch when it comes to making his money work for him.
The R&B star has revealed he owns 14 Burger King restaurants which is likely to be a very lucrative franchise for the 26-year-old.
He included the factoid as one of '25 things you don't know about me' in a list published in this week's issue of Us Weekly.

Burger King is the home of the Whopper, its signature sandwich that comes with a quarter-pound patty, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, pickles, mayonnaise and ketchup.
According to Burger King's corporate website, to qualify as a franchisee for the fast food chain, an individual must have a net worth of at least $1.5 million and have $500,000 in liquid assets.
It takes an average of $1.2 million to $2.2 million to develop a BK location depending on where it's located, its size and building code requirements.
It also costs $50,000 to purchase a 20-year franchise agreement with the company.

Of course, none of that is likely to have phased Brown who is said to be worth about $30 million, according to www.celebritynetworth.com.
Perhaps his passion to own his own burger joint was sparked during his time in prison in 2014.
After serving 108 days in a Los Angeles county jail for violating parole after assaulting a stranger outside a Washington, D.C., hotel in October 2013, he revealed that one of the perks of being free again was being able to get a good burger.
'You’re more appreciative of everything else that’s on the outside. A burger tastes 1,000 times better when you’re out,' he told Billboard magazine in a post-release interview.

Some of the other things the musician thinks people don't know about him are that he bought his mom a $1 million house when he was just 15, he talks to a pastor twice a week and he 'recently went to church for the first time in 15 years and loved it.'
He's also taken to fatherhood with enthusiasm, revealing that he loves to dance with daughter Royalty and he loves to help choose her outfits.
He's also, Brown says, 'a neat freak.'
