  • Allison Williams, Greta Gerwig and Adam Driver are also included among the publication's six cover stars
There's a new class of celebrity royalty, according to W magazine.
For its October issue, the publication has unveiled a list of leading men and women who it believes are at the top of their game, be it fashion, film, TV or music, naming them as Hollywood's newest royals. 
Six of the stars included in the spread, which features one classic and one new royal from across the worlds of film, television, fashion, modeling, music and society, also landed their own cover of the publication, including Homeland star Claire Danes, Oscar-winner Julianne Moore and supermodel Jourdan Dunn.

Greta Gerwig, Allison Williams and Adam Driver also star in their own cover shoots, while Mary J. Blige, Jamie Lee Curtis and Benicio Del Toro all appear in the feature itself. 
Claire, 36, is seen wearing a stunning gold off the shoulder dress and was styled with beachy curls and sun-kissed make-up.
In an accompanying interview, the Homeland actress also opened up about how her parents prepared didn't try and shelter her from the world, explaining that the experiences they exposed her to helped her to learn how to survive. 
'They subjected me to every[thing] and anything in the culture,' she explained. 'When I was a teenager, I went to the premiere of Showgirls with my mother.
'It doesn’t get more inappropriate than that, but I survived,' she offered.
Julianne, meanwhile, posed on a separate cover with a white fur shawl and glamorous, old Hollywood style make-up.

The 54-year-old Still Alice star, who has two children with her director-husband, Bart Freundlich, talked to the magazine about her love of fashion and her ongoing friendship with designer Tom Ford. 
'To me, Tom Ford is royalty,' Julianne shared, recalling: 'I met him when I was nominated for an Oscar. I’d just had my son, Cal, and I had really big boobs and I didn’t feel like myself.'
The star continued: 'Tom made me a beautiful dress, but I didn’t wear it because I felt like my boobs were too big. He didn’t care, and we’ve been friends ever since.'
Allison Williams, who like the other cover stars was styled by W Fashion Director Edward Enniful and shot by the infamous Inez and Vinoodh, is seen wearing a sharp suit with black leather suspenders.
The Girls actress, 27, is barely recognizable with long blonde bangs and dark smokey eyed make-up. 
She said of her TV character Marnie: 'I might be the one who has the most sex on Girls. I’m like an old pro now.'

Spotlighted by the magazine for her supermodel status, 25-year-old Jourdan Dunn rocks a utility chic ensemble for her cover shoot.
'I was signed as a model when I was 14, and I didn’t know how to walk in heels,' the British beauty revealed, adding: 'My mom bought me these kind of stripper heels and said, If you can walk in these, you can walk in anything.'
Greta Gerwig, 32, looks classically beautiful on her cover, wearing a printed red chiffon dress and gold drop earrings.
The actress, who has been dating writer-director Noah Baumbach since 2011, was praised by the magazine for popularizing the indie and mumblecore genres.
Like Greta, Adam Driver has continued to show his breadth as an actor, and talked about how much he 'loved' being in the Marine Corps before getting injured and going to school at Julliard in New York City.
The 31-year-old Girls star looked incredibly handsome on his black-and-white cover, rocking an unbuttoned tuxedo shirt and slicked-back hair.
