Strictly Come Dancing's early favourite Peter Andre displays confidence as he makes his dancing debut

At least he can walk the walk! Strictly Come Dancing's early favourite Peter Andre displays confidence as he makes his dancing debut

He recently expressed his nerves at being the bookies odds-on favourite to win this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.
But Peter Andre looked to have rid himself of his inhibitions as he showcased his moves during the competition's launch episode on Saturday night.
After finding out that he was to be partnered with Janette Manrara, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker couldn't resist standing up straight and theatrically clicking his fingers.

But his moves only excelled as the show progressed as Peter seemingly outshone his competitors during a group dance routine to Jess Glynne's Hold My Hand.
While his male counterparts looked a little uneasy at the thought of shaking their hips, the 42-year-old star didn't hold back and danced as if nobody was watching.
It was recently revealed that Peter boasts odds of 7/2 for winning this year's series, and while the news has undoubtedly brought a smile to his face, he also admitted finding it a little unnerving.

'That’s the worst pressure,' he told Radio Times earlier this week. 'It’s so nice [but the odds will] all change as soon as we start dancing. People will watch and they’ll go, 'that person’s good, that person’s alright.' And even if you’re good at one style of dancing…'
Meanwhile, Saturday night's launch show finally revealed the couple's on this year's show, which also features the likes of Georgia May Foote, Ainsley Harriott and Kirsty Gallacher.
It was announced that former Coronation Street star Georgia would be moving and shaking alongside Sicilian newcomer Giovanni Pernice.

Dressed in a sparkling green mini dress the 24-year-old seemed pleased with her partner, though not half as pleased as Giovanni appeared, as he leaped into the air after their partnership was declared.
And it looked as though the two are already getting on like a house on fire, as a snippet of their dance rehearsals later in the show revealed that the duo have already dubbed themselves, 'The two Gs.'
Cavorting and laughing together, show hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly couldn't resist commenting on their remarkable chemistry.
Before the announcement, Giovanni revealed that he is quite the ladies man, and insisted that women fall weak when they see his striking blue eyes.

Saturday night's debut opened with the professional dancers performing a show-stopping routine to Jennifer Lopez's Let's Get Loud combined with Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk.
The dance also saw judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood and Darcy get involved, before they received formal introductions from glamorously-clad co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman just moments after.
After announcing twelve pairings from this year's show, the dance competition's reigning champion Caroline Flack hit the dance floor to perform her winning routine, before offering her successors some words of advice.
But perhaps the most memorable dance of the evening was that carried out by this year's contestants and their professional partners as they delivered a routine to Jess Glynne's Hold My Hand.
