Helen George is knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing after judges unanimously save Georgia May Foote

Call The Midwife's Helen George is knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing after judges unanimously save Georgia May Foote

Call The Midwife star Helen George has been knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing, but described her time on the show as 'a great life experience'.
The actress, 31, lost out to former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote, who was saved by all four judges in the dance-off.
George, 31, and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec are the 10th couple to be eliminated and have missed out on next weekend's semi-final.

The pair ended up in fifth place on 34 points on Saturday night after they performed a paso doble to At The End Of The Day from Les Miserables in a musical-themed show.
And they had to do it all over again in a bid to remain in the competition - but it was not enough to save the couple and their time on the BBC show came to an end.
Helen said: 'It's been amazing and I never expected to get to the quarter final. The final of anything was great for me and I'm in splendid company. It's just been an honour to be around these people.'

Asked what her highlight has been, she said: 'Getting to know a group of people that I wouldn't usually come across in everyday life. All of the contestants from different fields of the industry, we have become very close friends and Aljaz has become one of my best mates over the last few months.
'He's been so patient and become such a good friend to me. I'm just taking away lots of friendships with me, it's been a great life experience for me and I've learnt a lot about myself during this process and got an awful lot out of it."
She described her dance partner as 'the most amazing man and friend anyone can ask for on Strictly'.
Asked who her winner is, she said: 'I'm rooting for all of them, I think all of them are my friends now and to pick one out would be so wrong of me.

'I love them all in such different ways. There are five of them left now which makes them like the Spice Girls and I couldn't pick just one of the Spice Girls which I liked the most.'
The remaining five couples will return next weekend where they will each perform two dances in the hope of reaching the final, which takes place on December 19.
Still in the running are Foote and her partner Giovanni Pernice, The Wanted's Jay McGuiness and his partner Aliona Vilani, EastEnders actress Kellie Bright and her partner Kevin Clifton, TV presenter Anita Rani and her partner Gleb Savchenko, and BBC broadcaster Katie Derham and her partner Anton Du Beke.
