Hugh Jackman teases Wolverine appearance with glimpse at final X-Men: Apocalypse trailer

He's back! Hugh Jackman teases Wolverine appearance with glimpse at final X-Men: Apocalypse trailer

He last appeared as crime-fighting mutant Wolverine in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past.
And on Monday Hugh Jackman teased that fans wouldn't have to wait for a rumored Wolverine sequel to see the comic book hero again, as he'd be making an appearance in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse.
'W.,' he wrote cryptically, alongside a short clip from the final full-length trailer for the star-studded Marvel flick, due out May 27, that he'd posted on Instagram.

The video scans what looks to be a military base or some other high-security bunker, and a collection of at least six incapacitated guards.
An alarm can be heard going off in the background as the camera continues to pan the damage, before introducing Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Raven/Mystique.
She's dressed as Raven at the moment, sporting a leather jacket and showing off long, curly blonde hair as she approaches someone with quite the stern look on her face.

'Well, you've been busy,' she quips to a young man, who turns out to be Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers/Cyclops.
Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner - starring as Jean Grey - can be seen standing beside him with a shocked look on her face.
'We had uh, a little help,' Cyclops says, before one of Wolverine's iconic claws can be seen in front of the camera, with the now-incapacitated guards running toward it.

The final, full-length trailer was also released on Monday, which sees Raven (Jennifer) taking a key position as leader of the mutants, as Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) appears to be injured and kidnapped by a mutant god.
And of course, the biggest surprise from the final trailer was the reveal that Wolverine would be joining the rest of the mutants for the battle.
X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Olivia Munn as Betsy Braddock/Psylocke, Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse, Rose Byrne as Moira, Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy/Beast, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr/Magneto, and Evan Peters as Peter/Quicksilver.
The star-studded Marvel picture is due in theaters May 27.
