Selena Gomez insists she will always 'shine' despite 'having a lot of people try to tear me down' as she shares lighthearted Instagram with male pal

Selena Gomez won't let fame 'get to her.'
The Heart Wants What It Wants hitmaker insists she isn't too worried about the negative comments she gets because of her huge levels of success because she's been 'doing this long enough' to realize people will always criticize her.
'I think I've been doing this long enough to realize that no matter what people perceive of me, I always shine through at the end of the day. So I've had a lot of people try to tear me down, but I'm here. I've always been myself,' the ex of Justin Bieber told E! News.

'You're not meant to say, "Once I get there, I'll have it all." I think that's the biggest lesson I've needed to learn, is how to be present in the moment, and to know that I'm always going to strive for something.'

She shared: 'I’m utilizing social media right now because of my age and because, to be honest, everybody else in the world was talking about me, so I wanted a f***ing say.
'I honestly had to, because I didn’t really expect my life to be as public as it was. Is this going to destroy me or make me? I still have to make that choice on a daily basis. In a few years. I’ll give all of it up.
