Britain's Got Talent judges choose their 45 semi-finalists as 'most dangerous act ever' sword swallower Alexandr Magala leads the eclectic list of performers

The Britain's Got Talent judges choose their 45 semi-finalists as 'most dangerous act ever' sword swallower Alexandr Magala leads the eclectic list of performers

They've seen their fair share of high-risk acts audition before them.
But Britain's Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams have undoubtedly taken a risk putting sword-swallower Alexandr Magala through to the semi-finals.
Described as the show's 'most dangerous' act to date, the Moldovan star will take to the stage alongside 44 other acts who impressed the panel.

The final countdown: Britain's Got Talent judges David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell whittled down the 200 hopefuls to 45 semi-finalist acts on Saturday night's episode
Whittling down the 200 acts who received three or more yeses from the panel, the judges were understandably spoilt for choice as they deliberated who the chosen acts would be to perform in the live semi-finals.
Straight through without deliberation were the five Golden Buzzer acts – 100 Voices of Gospel, Beau Dermott, Boogie Storm, Jasmine Elcock and Ian and Anne Marshall – who had all won automatic passes.
Also impressing on the night was former Coronation Street star - Rachael Wooding - who divided viewers when it was suggested she shouldn't be allowed to compete as a professional performer.

BGT's very own 'Billy Elliot' Jack Higgins also managed to bag a place on the live shows, alongside bubbly performer Chloe Fenton.
Perhaps a more surprising entry was The Deep Space Deviants, which consisted of a man named Paul dressed as a dalek who dances alongside a moody policeman as part of his act.
Vadik and The Bear were another eccentric entry to join the team - with Vadik Reketa from Belarus dancing with a giant polar bear.

But despite featuring a range of electic acts, the judges and showbosses will no doubt be most worried about sword-swallower Alexandr, who risks his life every time he performs.
Speaking ahead of the show, David explained: ‘It really was thrilling and scary as well because we because we haven’t seen him before, ever. He could have died, which I think Simon would have liked for the head-lines. But he survived.’
Viewers around the world have already been treated to Alex's skills as he has appeared in a string of BGT spin-offs and even went on to win the Russian version.
