'Vulture’s the first real villain in the Spider-Man comics,' the director said, adding: 'He’s in the second issue. He’s one of the classics from the best rogues’ gallery out there, and we’ve never seen him, he’s never been brought to life.'
The publication also revealed that the upcoming Marvel flick is reminiscent of John Hughes' classics, as Spider-Man navigates high school.
Spider-Man: Homecoming, which features Tom, 20, as the titular web-slinging hero, is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
