Gisele Bundchen commanded the runway with her strong and golden presence.
The supermodel dropped jaws as she sauntered solo in the spotlight during the Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Friday.
Gisele was a shimmery sight in a deep-cut metallic gold sequin gown that fanned out behind her while strutting down the stage at Maracana Stadium.

The brunette beauty, who comes from the land of Brazil, walked down the 'runway' to The Girl from Ipanema performed on the piano by Daniel Jobim.
Gisele first emerged from the dark as a silhouette framed in the light of the big screen behind her.
The sequins of her gown fairly glistened as the spotlight descended, throwing her figure into shadow across the stage.

It's easy to say that Gisele, who appeared after a flurry of other performers, stole this show hands down.
Gisele's wrap-around gown by Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch clung to her body from the tight long sleeves to the plunging decolletage, and the long train swept the ground as she stepped forward in delicately strapped, golden heels.
The bossa nova strains of Daniel Jobim's piano propelled Gisele further and further forward.

The brunette stunner wore her long waist-length hair parted center and loose, letting it cascade naturally down her back and over one shoulder. 
Gisele is known for speaking her mind, and she didn't hold back when planning her ensemble with the dress designer himself.
'Gisele knows exactly what looks good on her and what doesn’t, which makes the job much more objective and accurate,' designer Herchcovitch told Vogue.

Although she retired from the runway last year to focus on her family and other projects, Gisele made this - the Opening Ceremony in her Brazil - her stunning return.

In an interview with People, Gisele revealed that she was indeed nervous.
'This is for sure the longest runway I have ever walked in my life and by far with the most amount of people watching, so it is a little nerve-wracking I must say,' she admitted.
'This is a very special moment for my country and I am humbled that they invited me to be a part of such a special celebration.'

After her triumphant walk, Gisele danced in the crowd, in long gold dress and all.
Gisele was seen raising her arm and pumping it in the air while shaking her body to the music.
Before entering the gates of Maracana Stadium, Gisele spent the day out and about in Rio with her children Vivian, three, and Benjamin, six.


The family visited a restaurant at the Jardim Botanical Gardens as part of the day's excursions.
