But Katherine Jenkins proved she could also hit the right note in the style stakes as she showcased her figure in a sensational midnight blue gown at the BAFTA TV Awards in London.
The 35-year-old stood out from the crowd in the elegant floor-length frock, which skimmed her enviable curves in all the right places.

Making sure to show off the sexy backless cut of her dress, the Welsh singer spent time perfecting her over-the-shoulder pose before heading into the Royal Festival Hall for the ceremony. 
The cinched-in waist and sexy cowl neck added to the low-key glamour of the ensemble. 
Katherine kept her accessories minimal, teaming the ensemble with a simple pair of drop earrings that sparkled in the spring sunshine. 
She was also spotted holding a dark blue clutch as she stepped out of the car, but appeared to leave it with one of her team as she posed on the red carpet.

The award-winning stars will go head-to-head in the leading actor category for their work in Luther and Wolf Hall respectively.
They have already been nominated for Golden Globe and SAG Awards for their performances in the dramas, with Elba triumphing at the SAGs.
The BBC's historical drama Wolf Hall, an adaptation of Hilary Mantel's hit novel, leads this year's nominations with a total of four nods.
Peter Kay's Car Share and This Is England '90 picked up three nominations each.

Sir Lenny Henry will be honoured at the ceremony when he is presented with a special award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to television.
The British stand-up comedian, actor and writer, who is best known for his work on Comic Relief and as a presenter of TV programmes including The Magicians, The Lenny Henry Show and Three Of A Kind will take home the Alan Clarke Award.
Sir Lenny has previously received two Bafta nominations for The Lenny Henry Show and has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the British Comedy Awards in 2003.
