Katy Perry wipes away her tears to dazzles in a ballerina-style dress at London premiere of Part Of Me

Katy Perry's new documentary catches her at most vulnerable moment as her marriage to Russell Brand breaks down.

But tonight, the singer wiped away any tears as she turned up on the pink carpet at the European premiere of her warts and all film, Katy Perry: Part Of Me in London.

Dressed in a tutu-style white and gold dress by Marchesa, the 27 year old looked every inch the global superstar as she smiled and signed autographs for the hundreds of fans who had gathered at the Empire Theatre in Leicester Square for a glimpse of their idol.

Tutu much? The fitted dress had a tulle skirt and neckline, which she teamed with a pair of glittering high heels

The Californian singer even went to the lengths of wearing Union Jack fake eyelashes, which were only visible to those lucky enough to get close enough to their idol.

Ahead of the screening, she tweeted a close-up of the lashes, writing: 'IT'S THE ♥LONDON♥ PREMIERE! Even my lashes are excited! See you soon!'

The film covers Katy's California Dreams world tour last year and features her crumbling marriage with comedian Russell, leading up to his divorce filing in December 2011.

At the beginning, they are seen all lovey-dovey as Russell visits her backstage.

But as the months go by and they spend increasing amounts of time apart, Katy is seen struggling emotionally.

The film shows Katie sobbing backstage in Brazil, unable to communicate whether or not the show should go ahead.

But after composing herself, she plasters a big smile on her face and is happy for her audience as the gig starts.

Another scene shows an exhausted Katy on a plane asking one of her entourage when her next break in the tour is so she can fly and see her husband.

She looks distressed when she is informed she won't be able to see him for another 18 days.

In another shot, a crewmember asks Katy is Russell is coming to visit her.

An angry Katy responds: 'He should but he's not.'

She later admits: 'I'm fighting to keep my marriage alive.'

Reflecting on her documentary, Katy said this week: 'Every ten days or so I would put everybody (on the tour) on pause for three or four days so I could go back and re-charge and see to my relationship and give that time, which was very intense for me because the show was still on the road.

'But I made that sacrifice because it was important for me and I had made a commitment at that time.

'Sometimes I had to fly in on the day of the show, completely jet-lagged and feeling like I had been hung by my ankles, and have to go on stage. But it's like I pushed a button when I walked out (on stage.'
