The duo, Simeon Dixon and Charlotte Rundle, also branded wannabe Christopher Maloney a diva who throws backstage strops.
The urban act, in the sing-off with Kye Sones on Sunday, were stunned as Gary and Nicole chatted through their performance.
Charlie said: “They were whispering to each other and I thought, ‘I’m trying to sing for my place and they were chatting.’ That’s just rude.” The pair also whinged that fans had been unable to vote for them on Sunday afternoon.
Rapper Simeon said: “MK1’s vote line went down. A lot of our fans were tweeting saying they couldn’t vote for us because there was something wrong with our line.”
An X Factor spokesman last night denied MK1’s claims. She said: “The phone lines have been checked and there were no issues.”
The pair were also surprised to be voted out ahead of Christopher, who has already been criticised for “faking” his nerves and for being rude to backstage staff. Simeon admitted: “Chris surviving was a bit of a shocker. He got really lucky. He is the biggest diva.”
Charlotte said: “If there’s not a drink around or he doesn’t get his food on time or go home in the right taxi, then it’s a bit of a nightmare. The simple things that shouldn’t matter, matter to him.”
MK1 were also unimpressed by wannabes who are only after publicity.
Simeon said: “Some people are milking it to get themselves in the papers.”
Charlie added: “We’re not those kind of people. If other contestants want to do that then that’s fine. But we want exposure for our music.”
- SIMON COWELL will stay on the American X Factor for another year after US bosses ordered a third series of his reality show.
