'It's a dream come true': Tom Daley makes a Splash into TV as he lands celebrity diving show

He has already had a great year after winning an Olympic medal at London 2012.
And on Wednesday it was revealed that Tom Daley is set to make a splash into TV entertainment too.
The 18-year-old athlete will star in a show that will see celebrities try to master his sport.

Tom said landing the show was a 'dream come true' and builds on his sporting achievements.
He said: '2012 has been a wonderful year for me – an Olympic medal and double gold at the Junior World Champs. What better way to round it off by becoming involved in this great new show; a dream come true for me – an entertainment show all about diving.
Tom, who won bronze in the 10-metre individual men's platform diving this summer added: 'I'll be helping the celebrities as they master a dangerous and exciting sport and I can't wait to get started.'

Splash! will see guest celebrities competing against each other as they try to master the art of diving with the help of a team of professional coaches.
The celebrities will perform each week in front of a panel of judges and a live audience in an Olympic-size swimming pool. The public will then vote for their favourite.
The names of the celebrities taking part have yet to be released, but with plenty of famous friends to his name, there will surely be a number of Tom's pals eager to sign up.
The programme is based on a popular Dutch series called Celebrity Splash!
ITV’s Director of Entertainment and Comedy, Elaine Bedell said: 'Splash! promises thrills, spills and a touch of comedy as famous faces take to the celebrity diving board.'
