Better late than never! The Saturdays celebrate after finally scoring their first ever number one single with What About Us

They must have had that feeling of 'always the bridesmaid, never the bride' when it comes to the charts after failing to ever get their last 11 singles to the top.
But on Sunday night that all changed for The Saturdays, who managed to bag their first ever number one.
The girls were ecstatic after track What About Us was named this week's number one single... as well as becoming the fastest selling single of the year.

And as soon as it was announced the girls flooded Twitter with gushing messages.
Rochelle Humes wrote while still sitting in the Radio 1 building on Sunday evening: 'Omg. You guys have made this all possible. I cannot believe that we are the official number 1. For once I'm speechless. We did it guys :-)
'Not only have you guys got us to number 1 but we now have the fastest selling single of the year...ahhhhh I cant breathe xx :-).'

Vanessa White wrote shortly afterwards: 'Thank you SOOO much to everyone who bought #WhatAboutUs - we are SO happy :) WE DID IT!!!!'
While Mollie King added: 'Team Sats I cannot thank you enough! You have made my dreams come true! The little 6 yr old inside me has come out, I’m so emotional!'
And Una Healy took the opportunity to pose with their number one trophy and share with her Saturdays fans.

The girls told OfficialCharts.com: 'We couldn't be more thrilled to be the UK's official new Number 1 with What About Us!
'Thanks to everyone who has supported us and the single. We love you all. This is YOUR Number 1 too!'
The girls even managed to knock Justin Timberlake's Mirrors down to second place.

Shortly after the news was announced the girls emerged from the Radio 1 building with matching large grins as they posed for pictures and held their fingers up to indicate their number one.
And like true pop stars they headed straight to a party to celebrate their single in central London.
