Thandie has received a lot of praise - and comments - for her turn in Sky Atlantic hit Westworld.
After being criticised for stripping off for the show's shocking rape scenes, the star - who plays a robot sex worker - hit back, insisting it was a necessary part of the plotline.
'We get to see the consequence and ramifications of this violence - the cost of this violence,' Newton said during a round table discussion.'
