So it's perhaps unsurprising that Anika Noni Rose put on a buxom display when she stepped out with co-star Jonathan Rhys Meyers on Monday. 

The screen beauty sported a very bold look at the MIPTV GALA at Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France, where she effortlessly commanded attention.

Stepping out in a bright yellow number, the sexy, sleeveless dress deftly turned heads - in part thanks to the revealing, cut-out panel across her stomach.

Rising up to showcase the lower part of her bosom, the 43 year-old was clearly feeling body-confident and managed to work the look.  

Scraping her hair up into a classy bun, she ensured all eyes were on her choice of attire.

Not that she was the only glamorous guest there, of course - she was also there with Anna Paquin.

The two women star together in new TV series Roots, which chronicles the history of an African slave sold to America. 

She too was in red carpet mode, sporting a classic LBD with a pink bow across the chest, which - between them - constituted some very competitive cleavage.

Earlier in the day, Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers - who also stars in the series - was on fine form.

The 38 year-old was the perfect gentleman when he offered fiancée Mara Lane his jacket during a chilly photocall on the waterfront.

Cutting a dapper figure, the good-looking dude was in casual mode as he sported a pair of skinny jeans in indigo blue, with a pastel-coloured shirt and a leather jacket.

But, as the external shoot got colder, his bride-to-be - who was wearing just a thin khaki dress - seemed to get uncomfortable.

To help, the chivalrous star removed his coat and draped it across her shoulders in a sweet display.

Fortunately, he still looked great with a pair of leather shoes and some black-framed glasses - and also appeared to be happy and healthy as he posed for the media.

In May 2015, shocking images emerged of Meyers looking dishevelled as he drank vodka straight from the bottle. 

Following the relapse, The Tudors star, who has battled alcohol issues for over a decade, apologised to his fans in a statement released via his fiancée's. Instagram account.

Alongside an image of the couple he wrote: 'Mara and I are thankful for your support and kindness during this time.

'I am on the mend and thank well wishers and sorry for my disheveled appearance as I was on my way home from a friends and had not changed'.

Anna Paquin's Rogue makes surprise return appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Eagle-eyed fans spotted Anna Paquin's name listed in the credits of the X-Men: Days of Future Past trailer, which premiered online Tuesday.

20th Century Fox confirmed to BuzzFeed that the 31-year-old Oscar winner - who plays mutant Marie/Rogue - is officially in the 3D film due out May 23.

'Essentially, [it's] a cameo,' the studio revealed.

The True Blood actress was originally cut from a scene where she's held prisoner by mutant-hunting Sentinel robots at Xavier Mansion.

'Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous,' director Bryan Singer told Entertainment Weekly back in December.

'It's a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go.'

The four-time Emmy nominee continued: 'Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she's in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won't appear in it.

Vulture discovered that Rogue will be included in a scene where she must absorb the time-traveling powers of Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) for the sake of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman).

However, the action scene involving Rogue's actual rescue from Xavier Mansion will not be in the theatrical version.

The 1970s-set Marvel flick will also feature Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, and Michael Fassbender. 

Anna will also reprise her vampy character Sookie Stackhouse in the seventh and final season of True Blood, premiering June 22 on HBO.

They famously became an item after playing on-screen lovers Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton in the hit show True Blood.

So hopefully actor Stephen Moyer won't mind seeing his wife Anna Paquin's character move on with other male characters now that Sookie and Bill are no longer romantically entwined.

But in the latest episode of the vampire saga, perhaps Stephen, 43, could be forgiven for wanting to keep a watchful eye on set as his wife filmed her raunchiest scene yet - a naked tryst with new character Macklyn Warlow, played by Rob Kazinsky, 29.

While the show has certainly not been short of nudity over its six seasons, it is the first time new mother Anna, 31, has dared to bare in her first topless scene.

Rob has been setting pulses racing as the half-faerie, half-vampire since the start of the new season, but immediately had his sights set on Sookie.

And the pair certainly have great chemistry as they are seen locked in a passionate embrace, minus their clothes.

It was another opportunity for Anna to show off her impressively toned stomach, less than a year after she gave birth to twins Poppy and Charlie. 

In the steamy clinch, Sookie finds Macklyn tied up to a gravestone.

Although the faerie/vampire hybrid warns Sookie he might not be able to control his vampish urges, the pair can't seem to resist each other.

It's not long before Sookie allows Macklyn to feed on her, as they writhe around in the graveyard. 

Rob has clearly come a long way from playing Sean Slater in the British soap EastEnders back in 2006.

Speaking about his character's love for Sookie, Rob says: 'He's been waiting six thousand years for her,'

But it's not just Sookie that his character has been getting loved up with.

The actor filmed a dream sequence with Sookie's brother Jason Stackhouse, played by Ryan Kwanted, with both getting close in the bathroom.

'That was one of the hardest things I've ever shot in my life,' Rob said, 'solely because we couldn't keep a straight face. Not for one second.'

She wasn't attending the main 2013 Oscars event held at the Dolby theatre in Hollywood.

But Heidi Klum certainly stole the show at the 21st Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation's Oscar Viewing Party.

The 39-year-old supermodel took the plunge in a daringly low-cut liquid gold Julien Macdonald gown, which displayed plenty of her decolletage.

The Art Deco-inspired attire clung to ever contour of the German star's body, highlighting her supremely toned physique and, of course, her cleavage.

Heidi continued with the theme in her jewellery, wearing a giant pair of glittering diamond earrings featuring triangle detail.

The Project Runway star also slipped on an assortment of matching rings on her fingers, adding even more weight to the heavy metal theme.
