Chloe Grace Moretz wears eye-catching neon yellow and black dress on Jimmy Kimmel

Creating a buzz! Chloe Grace Moretz sports eye-catching neon yellow and black dress as she arrives to plug new movie on TV show

With her neon yellow and black mini dress teamed with a mini-quiff updo, Chloe Grace Moretz looked stylish and striking as she arrived for a TV talk show on Monday.
The 16-year-old actress teamed her eye-catching frock with a pair of turquoise high heels and subtle make-up for her appearance on The Jimmy Kimmel show in Hollywood.
Chloe is busy promoting her new movie sequel Kick Ass 2 in which she reprises the role of teenage assassin Hit Girl alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

She appeared alongside Christopher at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards where she presented a gong to Selena Gomez.
And she looked equally pretty at the annual event in a black off-the-shoulder dress with sheer colour panels and strappy black heels.
Kick Ass, which was released back in 2010, proved to be Chloe's breakthrough role. She has since gone on to star in Martin Scorsese movie Hugo and the forthcoming remake of Carrie.

'Hit-Girl is that character that really did put me in a different light,' the star recently told website Screen Rant. 'I think it’s the character that I would say is my breakout role.
'It put me in the minds of people in this business and it’s an amazing role because it was something that was poppy and fun and the revisit was so fun.
'It’s just one of those characters that I definitely think changed me as an actor for sure.'
The star said she had to think carefully before signing on to do the sequel and return to Hit Girl, aka Mindy Macready, which sees director Jeff Wadlow take the reigns from Matthew Vaughn.
'It was interesting trying to find the reason to even come back to [Hit Girl,' she said. 'Trying to find why, what did you see in the first film that you would want to see in the second film, what is that?
'I think that was the main struggle with her because you saw so much Hit-Girl you never saw Mindy Macready. You never saw the girl behind the mask.'
Chloe recently spoke out after her Kick Ass 2 co-star and pro-gun control advocate Jim Carrey declared he would not take part in the publicity campaign for the movie in protest at the level of violence used in the film.
'It's a movie,' she said. 'If you are going to believe and be affected by an action film, you shouldn't go to see Pocahontas because you are going to think you are a Disney princess.'
Jim plays born-again vigilante Colonel Stars and Stripes in the sequel.

'If you are that easily swayed, you might see The Silence of the Lambs and think you are a serial killer,' the actress added.
'It's a movie and it's fake, and I've known that since I was a kid... I don't want to run around trying to kill people and cuss. If anything, these movies teach you what not to do.'
However, the star also said that everyone had a right to their own opinions, adding: 'Each to his own.'

The starlet is seen channelling the screen sirens of the Forties and Fifties in a series of stunning black and white images.

Chloe slips into two vintage-style ensembles, one plunging velvet gown and an embroidered silk slip.
And in two colour images, The Kick Ass 2 star also models some more modern attire, wearing a white knitted and studded dress teamed with buckled white wedges, as well as fishnet tights, a floral dress and a blue and black knit cardigan adorned with star print.
In an interview with the magazine, the young star says her current style inspiration is Winona Ryder in her Nineties era.

'I’m wearing a lot of all black. I really love Winona Ryder—her look in the time right after Mermaids and Heathers, that first year of Johnny Depp and her,' she explains.
'They were the best couple ever— they’re like Romeo and Juliet!'
The actress, who regularly garners attention for her red carpet style, describes fashion as her 'princess time'.

'Fashion is my break. To go away to Paris and talk about clothes, that’s like my princess time,' she says.
Chloe says she's 'lucky' to be able to experiment with fashion, with several designers clamouring to dress her.
'I’m young, so I can play around. I’m lucky designers dress me, so I’m able to wear really, really, really crazy stuff! But there are brands that say, “We can’t dress you until you’re 20.” People who buy their clothes don’t want to see a $50,000 dress on a 16-year-old!' she says.

As well as experimenting with her wardrobe, Chloe says she has also been trying out different looks when it comes to her make-up.
'I do (experiment), but I’m terrified. I’ve seen so many disastrous things! I’ve only recently been going like, “OK, guys, let’s try some blue in there or some green.” I’m trying to figure out what looks good on me,' she explains.

Chloe was dressed casually in a trendy floral print t-shirt, skinny trousers and the same flats she wore when she mobbed by fans in Boston shortly before flying to London over the weekend to attend the Kick-Ass 2 photocall at Claridge's Hotel on on Monday afternoon.
The young star had clearly opted to dress down for her impromptu visit to the store – where she signed autographs for a less frantic group of admirers – after spending much of the morning promoting her new film.

Dressed in a stylish patterned blouse and skinny jeans, the actress talked about the need to have her family close by.
‘I keep my family close to me at all times,’ she said. ‘ And even farther than that, I keep the people in my business around me like my publicist, my manager, my agent, I keep those people around me that are good people too, because I feel that besides your family it’s those people who influence you the most in your life.

Chloe also revealed the person she most admires as an actress – her Dark Shadows co-star Michelle Pfieffer.
‘I’ve looked up to Michelle Pfieffer my entire life,’ she admitted. ‘As an action actress I look up to her in films like Catwoman and stuff like that. And she’s just a female empowerment type of woman.

On Saturday the actress needed a healthy dose of Michelle's strength when she was mobbed by fans shortly after wrapping The Equalizer - a film version of the hit 80's TV show.
The young actress was spotted by autograph hounds leaving her hotel in Boston, where she had been filming.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse reveals Chloe Moretz used to 'beat him up' as they promote Kick-Ass 2

'She was freaking strong!' Christopher Mintz-Plasse reveals Chloe Moretz used to 'beat him up' as they promote Kick-Ass 2

It has been a long time coming but fans of Kick-Ass will finally see a sequel hit cinemas in August, more than three years after the original.
And the cast are just as excited to be back in their makeshift superhero costumes as the audience are to watch their return.
Chloe Moretz may have been just 13 years old while shooting the first movie, but she still formed a close friendship with her co-star and on-screen rival Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

The pair are still best pals and have teamed up for an interview in the comedy issue of GQ.
Christopher admitted to the magazine that Chloe, who is seven years his junior, used to ‘beat’ him up while they promoted the first movie.
‘In almost every interview, Chloe would beat me up,’ he said of the then 13-year-old actress, who is now 16.
‘She was in fight training for months, and she was really freaking strong.’

When they weren’t fighting, the two wiled away the time in between interviews with a little sing-along, favouring the likes of Lady Gaga.
‘All we would do was sing Paparazzi,’ Christopher, 23, said. ‘The beautiful harmony of that chorus.’
Chloe added: ‘You did go for the high notes a lot.’
The pair are currently preparing for a press tour ahead of Kick-Ass 2’s release and Chloe has already picked out their next song.

‘I found a new song for us: Come & Get It by Selena Gomez,’ Chloe told her pal. ‘It's easy to learn. We can kill it.’
‘I'll download it right now and listen to it a million times,’ Christopher insisted. ‘I've gotta learn my lines.’
The duo also took part in a photo shoot for the special issue of the magazine in which they are seen pretending to wrestle.
Chloe, who sports a green top and shorts, black fishnets and red heeled sandals, comes up trumps with Christopher left feigning exhaustion and injury.
