Brianne Delcourt and Matt Lapinskas get up close and personal to launch Dancing On Ice spin-off tour

Something to tell us? Brianne Delcourt and Matt Lapinskas get up close and personal to launch Dancing On Ice spin-off tour

He may have lost out on the Dancing On Ice trophy but Matt Lapinskas certainly looked like he was a winner in the romance stakes on Tuesday afternoon.
Obviously still giddy from his time in the show, during which the former EastEnders' star relationship disintegrated, Matt and Brianne were seen in a series of passionate embraces as they helped launch the famous Celebrities On Ice tour.
Fans will remember blonde professional skater Brianne having a streamy romance with Coronation Street star Danny Young on the 2010 spin-off tour - they later split.

Although the pair were just posing up for the cameras onlookers couldn't help observe Matt, 24, and Brianne, 32, being overly tactile with each other - ahead of going away together on tour.
For newly single runner-up Matt, who said his relationship with ex Shobna McGarty was stronger than ever before he started the ITV reality show, looked in his element at the UK tour launch at Ice Bar in central London.
His is not the only relationship to end this series, winner Beth Tweddle, who is also going on the nine arena tour, split from her long-term love financial adviser Steven Cryer.

The Olympian later announced she has no plans to compete in the European Championships and is still undecided about Rio 2016 as at 27, Beth is already older than other gymnasts.
Hosted by Christopher Biggins and starring celebrity skaters: former England rugby captain Kyran Bracken, the Chico, Eastenders' Matt, Welsh rugby star Gareth Thomas, Olympic bronze medalist Beth Tweddle, and the world renowned International Ice Stars.
The tour will also feature Sugababe Heidi Range, X Factor’s Ruth Lorenzo and other surprise guests.

A spokesman said: 'This electrifying tour brings you a mix of the very best ice skating professionals courtesy of the world renowned International Ice Stars, some very familiar professional ice skaters and of course the final and main ingredient: The Celebrities.
'Mix them all together with live music, brand new choreography and we have a family packed evening with spectacular skating, death defying aerial acrobats, juggling, circus tricks, singing, audience participation and laughter in abundance for the whole family to enjoy.'
Dancing On Ice is fast getting a reputation for ruining relationships and Shona and Matt's split is one of many - it is not even the first of this year's show.

Coronation Street actress Samia Ghardie split from actor Will Thorpe after she became close to her skating partner - Frenchman Sylvain Longchambon.
He in turn split from Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe - who he met on the show.
Olympian Beth Tweddle left her lover Steve Cryer this series.
Coronation Street star Danny Young had a brief affair with Brianne during the Dancing On Ice tour in 2010, they later split.

Judge Karen Barker also split from her husband Stephen Pickavance and began a relationship with host Christopher Dean.
But fans will remember it was footballer David Seaman who kick started the 'love curse' after leaving his wife Debbie for pro-skater Frankie Poultney - the pair got close during rehearsals for the skating tour.

Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle is crowned queen of Dancing On Ice

Another trophy to add to her collection! Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle is crowned queen of Dancing On Ice

Beth Tweddle and her partner Daniel Whiston are the winners of this year's Dancing On Ice.
The Olympic gymnast was crowned queen of the ice after beating EastEnders actor Matt Lapinskas and his partner Brianne Delcourt in a tightly contested live final.
After learning of her triumph, the 27-year-old bronze medalist said: 'I'm speechless. It's amazing. All credit goes to Matt. He's done amazing skates tonight.'

The winner was decided by public votes after they performed their version of the Bolero - which Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean famously won gold for at the 1984 Winter Olympics.
Although Beth hadn't received top scores during the final compared to Matt, she had proved popular with viewers, managing to avoid the skate-offs every single week.
Beth went head-to-head with Matt in the Bolero routines after Olympic boxer Luke Campbell and Jenna Smith found out they were in third place.
Matt proved a gracious loser and congratulated Beth on winning: 'It's been amazing 10 weeks. Well done Beth. I've actually fallen in love with skating.

The judges' power was removed from their hands as it was left up to the viewers to chose between the two pairs after their Boleros.

Beth and Dan started the show with a routine to Seventies classic Carwash, ending up with a high score of 36.5.
Robin told her: 'That was incredibly entertaining. It was relaxing just watching you having a great time. This is your best performance. Delightful fun entertaining skate.'
Jason, who had been harsh on Beth in previous weeks, was turned: 'Thank you. That is what exactly what I want. It was strong, vibrant... You were giving me attitude and sass.'

For Luke and Jenna's showcase, they brought a western theme to their showcase to Queen's Crazy Little Thing Called Love, receiving a score of 34.5.
Head judge Robin said: 'That was technically terrific. You kept up with the professional boys. You were keeping up with them.'
Jason enthused: 'What really threw me was the country and western gay bar scene. This was the best musicality that you have displayed.
'I thought you did very well with keeping up with everyone else. Not a bad opening mate.'

However, it was Matt's showcase that blew the others out of the water, receiving a top score of 40 for his group performance to Mr Pinstripe Suit.
Karen told him: 'It's so exciting to sit here and watch. That showcase showcased all your strengths and it was fantastic.'
Jason was full of praise: 'You are why I love the final of Dancing On Ice. We've got somebody who got the entire package. Brings it on the final and smashes it some more.

'I could not differentiate between you and the pros.'
When it came to choosing her favourite routine from the series, Beth opted for her Week 5 performance to Emeli Sande's Clown.
She ended up with a total score of 37.5 - an improvement from her original Week 5 score of 30.5.

Ashley said: 'I'm just so proud of you. Your stronger suit wasn't performing and you came out here and performed. You were in partnership with the music. It was beautiful.'
Luke also opted for his Week 5 performance - to One Direction's Little Things.
The boxer and his partner Jenna ended up with a score of 32.5 after making a small stumble during the routine.
Karen said: 'A tiny slip. You've come such a long way. For a boxer to come out and show he's gentle and performing such a charming routine is impressive.'

However, Jason thought it was lacking: 'It's one of your better routines. All the little things was what was so touching first time round. A little bit of that was missing tonight. It is the truth! In comparison to the other two contestants, it wasn't on par.'
Surprisingly, Matt went back to Week 1 to chose his favourite routine, a high-energy set to Chris Brown's Turn Up The Music.
He ended up receiving another top score of 40 to his delight.
Jason enthused: 'I obviously I love you. 10, 10 across the board. Brianne is one of our best professionals - you match her in intensity. You make this partnership work together. The two of you are a strong partnership all the way to the end.'

Rugby ace Gareth, who was ruled out of the semi-final last week after suffering from motion sickness, said he was feeling much better.

EastEnders' Shona McGarty heads out with Jaqueline Jossa after split with Matt Laplinskas

'So happy with life at this moment!': EastEnders' Shona McGarty heads out with Jaqueline Jossa after split with Matt Laplinskas

While her ex-boyfriend Matt Laplinskas prepared for the Dancing On Ice semi-finals on Saturday night, Shona McGarty enjoyed a night on the town.
Accompanied by some of her female EastEnders castmates, the newly single actress declared on Twitter that she was 'so happy with life at this moment!'
Shona denies that the close relationship between Matt and his dance partner Brianne Delcourt - who describes him as her 'little angel' - has anything to do with the end of their relationship.

The figure skater made the comment after The Sun reported that Matt had been dumped by his EastEnders girlfriend of nearly two years.
She said: 'Matt and I have become best friends …end of!!!!(sic)'
'He’s been my little angel throughout some tough times!' Brianne tweeted.
The Canadian 32-year old has also split from boyfriend Danny Young, who she met on the skating competition in 2010.
Swapping the East End for central London, the actress who plays Whitney Dean and Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning) arrived at Cafe De Paris in Piccadilly.
Jacqueline led the glamour in a tight red dress while Shone opted for a white and black polka dot, strapless dress.
Khali Best (Dexter Hartman), David Witts (Joey Branning) and Hetti Bywater (Lucy Beale) were also in attendance.

While Jacqueline, 20, was in high spirits as she larked with paparazzi outside the club, for obvious reasons Shona kept a low-profile.
She only posted a photo to Twitter with her female co-stars, captioning it: 'Me n ma girls at Cafe de Paris!! Big night... So happy with life at the moment!!'
The following day, the actress tweeted a denial that jealousy over Matt's DOI partner Brianne had anything to do with it:  'The headlines are NOT true!! As if I'd let @BrianneTV do that!! X mwah! Much love!! ;).
'Thanx 4 support guys! Yes its true Matt and I have split but it has NOTHING 2 do with Brianne. Clear head and new beginnings! Mwah xx.'

It's Matt Lapinskas, Beth Tweddle and Luke Campbell in Dancing On Ice final

It's Matt Lapinskas, Beth Tweddle and Luke Campbell in Dancing On Ice final after skate-off is cancelled because Gareth Thomas is too ill

    • Welsh rugby player had been struggling with motion sickness all week during rehearsals for the flying routine
    • Host Philip Schofield said viewers who voted were entitled to a full refund after Sunday's public votes were cancelled
    • Three finalists performed their 'save me' skates to fill the time

The skate-off in Sunday's Dancing On Ice semi-final was sensationally cancelled after medics ruled Gareth Thomas was too ill to perform.
The rugby player had ended up in the bottom two and had earlier only been able to perform one routine instead of two after struggling with severe motion sickness all week.
His illness meant Matt Lapinskas, Beth Tweddle and Luke Campbell all progressed straight to the 2013 final.

In the videos of Gareth's rehearsals with partner Robin Johnstone, he was seen vomiting as he struggled with the flying harnesses.
Following his first performance to Coldplay's La Vida, Gareth looked visibly ill as he joined host Philip Schofield on stage.
He was sweating and swaying and could barely speak as Philip asked him if he was OK, before prompting the athlete to leave the stage.

The DOI medics ruled he was too sick to take part in his flying routine, and during the results show, it was announced he had been ruled out of the skate-off.
Philip told the audience: 'Gareth is in the skate-off, however due to the nature of his condition we have cancelled the skate-off.
'Viewers who voted tonight can apply for a refund. Gareth has withdrawn from the competition.'

Gareth ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard because he only had one routine contributing to his total score so it was no surprise to see him in the bottom two.
Each celebrity and their partner had performed two routines each on Sunday - one flying in a harness and the other remaining on the ice.
Speaking to Philip after the announcement Gareth had been deemed too ill to continue, his partner Robin said: 'Gareth's resting right now. He's a little disappointed. He was a little bit out of it actually.

'He wanted me to pass on thank yous to everyone - cast, crew, Jayne and Chris.'
Christopher Dean added: 'He's a little upset. He's such a competitor. He's going to be really gutted.'
So to fill the time, all three finalists performed their 'save me' skate instead without the worry of the judges having to decide between them.
