She's long been thought of as one of Hollywood's ultimate modern beauties.

And Natalie Portman certainly proves her worth as both an actress and a beautiful on-screen siren in the new short film to advertise the iconic Miss Dior fragrance.

The 33-year-old Oscar-winning star looks breathtaking in the clip, which sees her portray a young woman about to tie the knot.

However, throughout the short visual spectacle of an advert, she seems to be battling with the idea of marrying her mystery man.

The clip flips between black and white scenes showing her wearing her stunning hand-crafted wedding gown and walking down the aisle on the arm of her father, and colour shots of her gleefully escaping the nuptials.

As she holds aloft the beautiful strapless gown - covered in pretty floral embellishments with a leg-flashing hemline - before the ceremony, black and white Natalie looks a true classic beauty with her hair delicately styled in a half-up, half-down 'do.

But her unhappiness betrays her as she tells a hotel bel

Clearly wanting to remain a single young woman, the short film shows her sadly walking down the aisle to become a wife, juxtaposing against the carefree Natalie who is later seen running through a field and stripping out of her white dress and into a chic LBD.

The single and free young woman is then seen overlooking a cliff and far out to sea, before being picked up - symbolic confetti petals flying around her - by a helicopter emblazoned with the legend CD, for the label's founder Christian Dior.

She's seated next to a handsome man who kisses her passionately, as the scene reverts back to the black and white tale. 

Failing to take her vows, the bride-to-be looks downcast as she apologises to her father for running out on her big day.

Back to colour, a sultry and notably pleased Natalie overlooks the gorgeous sun-kissed city of Paris as she gets her wish to remain a Miss.

The Black Swan star has been a brand ambassador for French designer label Dior since 2010, and has appeared in several campaigns since then.

And the new clip, directed by lauded film-maker and photographer Anton Corbijn, is possibly her most glamorous yet.

Set against the backdrop of Janis Joplin's Piece Of My Heart, the advert - called 'It's Miss, Actually' - invokes the spirit of a carefree young woman who has glamour and freedom in her sights. 

The dress the actress wears in the commercial was hand-crafted by Parisian master tailors and, according to People, took over 600 hours to create.

Commenting on the feminist-friendly video, director Corbijn - whose other works include movies The American and A Most Wanted Man - said: 'It's interesting to see that these women are kind of worshipped by men, projecting what men want to see, and yet they say they are feminists.

'For me it's still coming from a man's perspective. The great thing about Janis Joplin, for instance, is that the female perspective prevails.'

'It took a long time to find the music and this choice seemed to fit perfectly from all angles, including the song's meaning,' he added, speaking of his bold choice of backing track. 

'The more I look at the Miss Dior film, the more I know we got the best track possible.'

Jennifer Lawrence's piercing blue eyes take center stage in the actress' latest Miss Dior campaign.

With bare make-up - her eyes highlighted only with subtle gold eyeshadow - the 23-year-old appears refreshingly all-natural in the new ads.

Wearing a cozy grey coat, her hair pulled back in a wind-swept bun and her lips touched up with a blush tint, the images mark Miss Lawrence's second campaign for the legendary fashion house.

The Hunger Games star famously admitted to Access Hollywood that the ad was 'of course' airbrushed.

'Oh my God, I haven't seen this,' she exclaimed of her first Dior ads on the Oscars red carpet.

She won an Oscar as a ballet dancer on the brink of madness performing in Swan Lake.

And Black Swan starlet Natalie Portman got wet and wild in new behind-the-scenes images from the Miss Dior Eau de Toilette commercial, directed by Sofia Coppola and shot by Tim Walker.

Eau de toilette: The fragrance is said to contain a 'green chypre with strong neroli and rose notes tinged with blood orange'

The 31-year-old Oscar winner manages to look poised and elegant even while drenched in her sexy strapless Dior gown, frollicking in a fountain with a handsome co-star.

Her black dress, designed by Raf Simons, was inspired by the first Miss Dior dress in 1947 and is currently on display at a Harrods exhibition until April 14.

In the one-minute advert, the Garden State star reclines in a garden surrounded by elegant roses, takes a sexy dip in a pool, goes for a spin in a car, and kisses the male model.

The fragrance is said to contain a 'green chypre with strong neroli and rose notes tinged with blood orange.'

It's hard to believe that Natalie is mother to 20-month-old son Aleph with 35-year-old husband Benjamin Millepied.

The Israeli-born stunner is reportedly planning to relocate to Paris later this year.

The French choreographer, a former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet, will begin his new position as director of the Paris Opera Ballet in October 2014.

Natalie will begin shooting a western called Jane Got a Gun next month, which is about a woman who asks her former lover for help in order to save her outlaw husband from a vengeful gang.

Jennifer Lawrence has been seen on holiday in Hawaii enjoying a suspicious rolled up cigarette.

In revealing pictures the newly anointed Oscar-winning actress is seen clasping a fat roll up in her fingers and a bottle of wine.

And in other pictures that have emerged the 22-year-old can clearly be seen taking a draw on the roll up.

It may come as some surprise just days after the actress was seen lapping up the applause of her peers at the Academy Awards where she took home the Best Actress award for her stunning turn in Silver Linings Playbook.

The Silver Linings Playbook star looked happy and relaxed, which may well have been in part thanks to a glass of wine and her cheeky smoke.

It's not clear if she was indeed smoking marijuana - but the actress is not known to be a smoker - and if the young starlet does have a penchant for the weed, it may explain her propensity for stumbling. 

Jennifer, 22, is in Hawaii with a female friend who she was seen hugging as they sat on the balcony together.

The Hunger Games star wrapped herself up in a grey blanket and wore a gray T-shirt from Reformation and sweat pants.

Jennifer will no doubt be enjoying her moment after scooping Best Actress at The Oscars last Sunday. 

The Kentucky-born star might have enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with her friend on Wednesday but she is actually in Hawaii for work, to re-shoot scenes for Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

'Thank you so much,' she told them. 'This is nuts. You guys are only standing up because I fell and you feel bad. That was embarrassing.'

The day after her big award win Jennifer was seen visiting a hair salon in Beverly Hills to dye her hair back to black.

She has admitted to feeling like like a 'fat' actress by Hollywood standards but Jennifer Lawrence has proved her high-fashion model credentials in her first shoot for Dior. 

As the new face for Miss Dior, the 22-year-old actress cuts an elegant and graceful figure in the snaps shot by Willy Vanderperre.

In one shot Jennifer is seen peering over her shoulder, with a viel covering her face and a large satin bow tied around her neck.

With full lashes, shaped brows and a flawless complexion Jennifer looks every inch the A-list star.

In another picture the Hunger Games actress is seen tilting her head backwards showing off a bejeweled statement necklace.

While the news of her appointment was revealed in October last year these new images have been released just days ahead of the Oscars. 

Jennifer has been nominated for the Best Actress at the Academy Awards for her role in Silver Linings playbook. 

Whether she wins or not it's clear that Jennifer's star is set to rise.

While Jennifer may well be celebrating with her Silver Linings Playbook co-stars on Sunday night, new images of her as Katniss Everdeen have emerged ahead of the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. 

The actress is seen alongside her co-star Josh Hutcherson and the pair are dressed in ivory clothing. 

In the upcoming movie – out on November 22nd - Katniss has returned home safely after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta.

Winning means that they must embark on a Victor’s Tour of the districts. 

Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is brewing, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games, named The Quarter Quell, a competition that could change Panem forever.
