Natalie Cassidy says she's over faddy diets after dropping TWO dress sizes in six weeks

'I'm not obsessed with being slim anymore': Natalie Cassidy says she's over faddy diets after dropping TWO dress sizes in six weeks

Like Kerry Katona, Mischa Barton and Jennifer Ellison, Natalie Cassidy has had the unfortunate experience of falling into the celebrity category of a yo-yo dieter.
But after shrinking from a size 14 to a size 10 in just six weeks, the actress claims the faddy diets are over.
The mother-of-one showed off the results of her latest weight loss, saying, 'this time I’m confident that I’ll keep the weight off.'

In an exclusive interview with Now magazine, Natalie discusses just how she dropped the two dress sizes, which she says is down to taking control of her strict regime: 'I was my own diet boss so there was nothing faddy about it.'
'Taking advice from Rob, I prepared all my meals myself so I knew exactly what I was putting in,' she explains, 'I stuck to a high protein and veg diet of 1,200 calories a day, cutting out carbs completely.'
But Natalie couldn't have achieved this result without the help of exercise, telling the magazine, 'I’ve been doing 60-minute sessions with Rob at the gym six days a week. We work on my upper body one day and lower the next, with high-intensity cardio in between.'

'It’s been challenging but worth it.'
The former EastEnders star's weight loss is an astounding achievement in such a short space of time - she's lost 1st 2lb so far - but the 29-year old isn't going to be obsessively weighing herself everyday.
'With past diets I’d feel disappointed to step on
the scales and see I hadn’t lost weight,' Natalie admits.
This time the Loose Women regular will be maintaining her weight by focusing on her measurements which so far has seen her waist shrink by 8cm, her hips by 7cm  and each thigh has reduced in size by 5cm each.
But the journey hasn't been easy for Natalie who says on some days she 'couldn't be bothered.'
Like most women she 'only [has] to look at food and put weight on,' and after not being able to pull up her jeans, the actress decided to take control.
With Eliza just celebrating her second birthday, Natalie thought it was the right time to get 'toned and fit.'
And after reconciling with her daughter's father Adam Cottrell - who last year was charged with two offences of assault and two charges of criminal damage after a row turned physical  - Natalie also makes clear that this diet will 'hopefully [be] the last.'
