She's a Hollywood star in her own right, but Katie Holmes was transported back to the golden age of cinema for Bobbi Brown's new campaign.

The actress was given a vintage makeover to resemble the likes of Katherine Hepburn and Rita Hayworth for the cosmetics brand's Old Hollywood range.

With her hair brunette locks styled into retro waves, Katie, 34, certainly proved she can wear a red lip to rival any of the past screen sirens.

For added vintage appear, the actress was dressed in an off-the-shoulder red lace gown, with textured detail around the skirt and the sleeves, with an intricate pattern down the front to show off a little skin underneath.

Certainly the scarlet colour is perfect for the festive season campaign, but Katie was given a little gothic edge with a black manicure.

Holmes has been a brand ambassador for Bobbi Brown since 2012, when she was named the first ever celebrity face for the brand launched in 1991.

Speaking of Katie, founder Bobbi said: 'Katie Holmes epitomises the modern "Bobbi woman"… I think of her as the modern day Ali McGraw, who I have always admired. Katie is a classic natural beauty, entrepreneur, and mother.

As well as collaborating with the brand to create her own capsule make-up range, Brown was the lead makeup artist at the Spring/Summer 2013 Holmes & Yang Fashion Show, the fashion label founded by Katie and celebrity stylist Jeanne Yang.

While Holmes has her fingers in the fashion and beauty jars, she is still working hard in the movie business, with three movies in post-production (Miss Meadows, Days And Nights, and Mania Days) and another she is currently filming with Meryl Streep and Alexsander Skarsgard.

Details from Cruise's deposition suggest that he agrees that one of the reasons she filed for divorce from the Hollywood star is because she wanted 'to protect their daughter from Scientology.'

She made her debut on TV hit Homeland on Sunday night - playing a new Muslim CIA analyst tasked with tracking down terrorists by gruff boss Saul Berenson.

But Nazanin Boniadi has already been on a 'mission' of her own after it was alleged she was vetted to become Tom Cruise's girlfriend by Scientology chiefs - and told she was 'going to save the world'.

The stunning 31-year-old actress plays rookie analyst Fara in the Showtime series, but she hit the headlines last year after Vanity Fair reported that Nazanin was secretly chosen to date A list star Tom, 51, before he married Katie Holmes - and the pair enjoyed a brief romance.

Maureen Orth, a special correspondent for Vanity Fair, last year claimed in a bombshell article that Scientology officials auditioned 'dozen of young women' for Tom Cruise prior to his marriage to Katie in 2009.

And she alleged that Iranian-born, London-raised Nazanin 'was told she was being chosen for a mission' and was 'really going to save the world'.

Maureen also claimed that Nazanin did not know what was in store for her - or that she would end up meeting Cruise.

The claims were strenuously denied by the Church of Scientology at the time.

However, the writer told Good Morning America in September 2012: '[She] was told that she was being chosen for a mission, that was really going to save the world. That she was going to be meeting dignitaries, that it was very important that she look good, and be worldly.'

She went on: 'And she had no idea, when it began, that [she] was going to end up meeting Tom Cruise.'

Nazanin has appeared on TV in a number of series including comedy How I Met Your Mother, but her appearance on Homeland could prove to be her biggest role yet.

Millions watched as the slight brunette made her debut as Fara, a young Persian transactions analyst brought in to help Saul trace the Langley bombing operation's funding and its origins.

She was left in tears as Saul chided her for not working hard enough and pointing out to her headscarf, raged: 'That thing you're wearing on your head... is one big 'f**k you' to the people you work with," he tells her. "Give me a goddamn plan or don't say anything.'

But Fara retaliated by bringing in the bankers suspected of illegally partnering with an Iranianin trading company - before discovering that the usual banking fees removed from wire transfers had simply disappeared. A total of $45 million had gone to an unknown individual, and Saul suspected finding that money will lead in the right direction.

Vanity Fair published its feature on Cruise just months his third wife, actress Katie Holmes, blindsided him by filing for divorce in June 2012.

Among its claims were that the Mission Impossible star knew that Scientology chiefs were vetting potential love interests for him before he started dating Katie, 34, in 2005.

In the article, Orth claimed that a project to identify a new partner for Cruise, following the break-up of his relationships with Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz, started in 2004 and was headed by Shelly Miscavige, wife of the church's top official David Miscavige.

Speaking about the vetting process, she said: 'I do believe that [Cruise] was very much aware that it was going on, or at least he had certainly heard about her, because by the time he met her he did know all about her.'

Former official Marc Headley, interviewed in the Vanity Fair piece, claimed that a number of Scientologist actresses were interviewed by church leaders and told they were being considered for a role in a new training video.

However, they were allegedly faced with unexpected questions such as: 'What do you think of Tom Cruise?'

Katie Holmes, who did not become a Scientologist until she started going out with Cruise, was not part of this process, the article said.

Instead, Mrs Miscavige allegedly chose Nazanin Boniadi, then 24, to be the megastar's new partner.

The reports went on to claim she was told she had been selected for 'a very important mission', and ordered to break up with her boyfriend.

When Nazanin was flown to New York and taken for dinner by Cruise at trendy restaurant Nobu, she began to suspect she was part of an elaborate set-up, Orth wrote.

The pair went ice-skating at Rockefeller Center, where the rink had been closed for them, then spent the night together, it was alleged.

The actress, who has appeared in General Hospital blockbuster Iron Man, was also made to sign multiple confidentiality agreements over her relationship with Cruise, Vanity Fair claimed.

Her relationship with the star remained a secret, and the couple were together from November 2004 until January 2005, during which time Nazanin allegedly lived with Cruise.

However, she found herself out of favour with Cruise after unintentionally insulting church leader Miscavige by saying "Excuse me?" and asking him to repeat himself more than once, apparently an indication in Scientology that one is not a good communicator or listener.

After their relationship ended, Nazanin was allegedly sent away to the Scientology facilities in Clearwater, Florida, where she was forced to clean toilets with a toothbrush, scrub bathroom tiles with acid and dig ditches in the middle of the night. All the allegations were denied by the Church of Scientology.

However, former Scientologist, director Paul Haggis stated that this was true - and said Nazanin had quit the church in 2010 after 'several years of trying to handle this injustice internally, to no avail'.

And in December 2012, Nazanin released a rap song that made it clear she was no longer associated with Scientology, rapping: 'But we all know how it is/This ain't no road to freedom

Just a few months after the break-up, Cruise started dating former Dawson's Creek star Katie, who converted to Scientology ahead of their marriage in November 2006.

The couple went on to marry in Rome in November 2006 following the birth of their daughter Suri in April 2006. Katie filed for divorce in June 2012 and the split was finalised two weeks later.

At the time of the Vanity Fair article, the Church of Scientology released a statement that read: 'The entire story is hogwash. There was no project, secret or otherwise, ever conducted by the Church to find a bride (audition or otherwise) for any member of the Church. Never.

'The allegation and entire premise of the Vanity Fair article is totally false. Like clockwork, stories about this 'phantom' audition surface in the tabloids every few months. We have been denying this ridiculous tale now since it first appeared in print FOUR years ago.'

A spokesman for Cruise also poured cold water on the article, saying: 'Lies in a different font are still lies - designed to sell magazines.'

Her daughter Suri from her marriage to Tom Cruise is the apple of Katie Holmes’ eye.

But the actress has revealed she is ‘open’ to the idea of having more children.

When asked about expanding her family one day, the single star told Allure magazine: ‘I don’t know. I’m open to it.’

In fact it seems there could be many changes on the horizon for the 34-year-old.

Katie has been a star of screen and stage, a fashion designer, and of course a doting mother and wife.

But rumours have been swirling she could be set to become a lawyer, and Katie hasn’t denied the reports.

Meanwhile in an inside shot, Katie cuts a sexy figure in a black sleeveless creation with a flirty zip.

But Katie and photographer Tom Munro used some tricks of the trade and shot the cheerful – and seductive – photos on an indoor beach.

Katie’s last venture was starring in Broadway play Dead Accounts, and even though the production was quickly cancelled, she was thrilled to be a part of it.

‘I was open to – well, to whoever wanted me,’ she admitted. ‘But it was always my goal to make it back to the stage.’

The April issue of Allure magazine is on sale March 26.

‘Well, my brother and father are attorneys, and – we’ll see,’ Katie said. ‘I like the practical thinking of attorneys.’

The brunette also posed for a stunning beauty shoot for the publication, in which she wears her hair tousled into beachy waves.

In the cover image, the Dawson’s Creek beauty is seen getting to grips with a rope while wearing a black swimsuit with mesh detailing.

It's been quite a year for Katie Holmes, it was only last June that she shocked the world (and her then husband Tom Cruise) by announcing she wanted a divorce.

Since then, the emancipation of Katie has been swift and we've seen her go from cossetted movie star wife to working single mother.

Now, prepare to view Katie, 34, like you never have before... laid almost completely bare for a new high end jewellery campaign.

Katie is the face of H.Stern's Iris collection, which is inspired by the sea, and in the latest shots released from the campaign she is semi-naked on a beach with scudding clouds forming the backdrop.

In one shot she can be seen slipping her bra off, and in the next it's gone leaving the stunning star to cover her breasts with her arms.

Another shot sees Katie lying on the sand wearing a bikini, and of course, the jewellery.

She was just 14 when she enrolled in a local modelling school in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio.

Back then Holmes could hardly have imagined that today she would be the star of global advertising campaign - let alone that she would be a famous actress.

In taking on the role at the jewellery house, Katie follows in the footsteps of former H.Stern faces Kate Moss and Catherine Deneuve, it's her third campaign with the house that is set to open a London store on Sloane Street next week.

Just like Tatler's Little Black Book list or the Forbes Rich List, InStyle's annual Best Dressed chart is a hotly contested list, with editors and fashion writers agonising over who should land the top spot. .

And this year, the title of InStyle's best dressed woman was awarded to Hollywood actress Emma Stone.

The 24-year-old pipped Kristen Stewart, Cheryl Cole and even the Duchess of Cambridge to the top spot.

The list, compiled by the InStyle's fashion team, features 50 of the most stylish women on the planet and saw Spider Man's leading lady receive great fashion plaudits for her dazzling red carpet looks.

In close second position came Diane Kruger, while sultry vampire Kristen Stewart took third place.

Flying the flag for the British were style icons Alexa Chung, Victoria Beckham, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Moss and Florence Welch, all securing five of the top ten places.

No stranger to best dressed lists, the budding fashionista is a regular poll topper in both child and adult categories.

Also making the InStyle list was Pixie Geldolf who came 23rd. One-time chart topper Cheryl Cole made it to 42nd place and Emma Watson took 48th.

Men to make the list include David Beckham, Andrew Garfield, Ryan Gosling, Robert Pattinson and Eddie Redmayne.

Katie Holmes has emerged for the first time since filing for divorce from her husband Tom Cruise last week.

The 33-year-old actress, who has looked decidedly tense and unkempt in recent weeks, cut a stylish and serene figure as she headed to film a guest spot on Project Runway: All Stars in New York today.

Her smile evoked memories of the famous picture of Nicole Kidman leaping with joy after her own divorce from Cruise in 2001.

She wore a navy and black shirt-dress, soft make-up and a slick ponytail for the outing but one accessory was noticeably absent - her wedding ring.

It's the first time the actress has removed her sparkling five-carat engagement diamond and band since marring the Top Gun star five years ago and she made a point of holding up her left hand for all to see.

Project Runaway judge Isaac Mizrahi said Holmes was professional and even upbeat during taping.

'She did great,' he told People after the show.

Added an insider: 'She was engaged, articulate and wonderful!'

The pre-arranged taping was filmed at Parsons The New School of Design and will air later this year.

It was risky business as usual for Cruise yesterday, who was once again spotted boarding a helicopter in Reykjavik, Iceland.

He was heading to the remote location where he is filming his new sci-fi movie, Oblivion.

Cruise will celebrate his 50th birthday tomorrow on the set of his new film, as friends told how he was ‘totally devastated and heartbroken’ by the marriage split.

Today it emerged that Holmes is claiming her marriage to Cruise was 'irretrievably' broken for at least six months.

She filed for divorce from her husband of five years last week in New York and, according to official documents, she said their union had been over for some time.

However, sources close to Tom says Katie's version of events are baffling, telling gossip website TMZ he had 'no idea' she was going to legally end their marriage.

Holmes - who wants sole custody of the couple's six-year-old daughter, Suri - also claimed both she and Tom have been residents of New York for 'at least two years', even though their main family home is in Beverly Hills, California.

She must establish legal residency in New York in order for the court to have jurisdiction, which is something she wants because New York courts are more likely to grant her sole custody of Suri.

However, 49-year-old Tom - who also has two children, Isabella, 19, and 17-year-old Connor, with second wife Kidman - will fight the residency claim and wants the legal proceedings switched to California, where courts are more likely to grant joint custody of a child.

Since the news of the divorce was announced, Tom admitted he was 'deeply saddened' but sources claim he will respond by filing his own divorce papers in California.

Meanwhile it has been claimed that neighbours of the actress called police last week amid fears she was being followed.

Law enforcement were first alerted to the unidentified men surrounding Katie's Chelsea apartment building on Friday, but were unable to take any action because the former Dawson's Creek star didn't make the call herself, sources tell the New York Post.

Yesterday, the men, who were reportedly armed, were pictured sitting inside a white Cadillac Escalade, taking pictures and questioning several people outside of the actress's apartment building.

And as fears, suspicion and speculation mounted, the mysterious car was finally approached yesterday by police.

According to the Post, police checked the vehicle's Tennessee number plates and questioned the men inside, but could not elicit any substantial answers.

Even a reporter from the New York Post approached the car to question the men's intentions, but were met with stony silence.

Since being spotted in the cars there has been intense speculation about who the men are and where they come from.

Many reports speculate that they are members of the controversial Scientology church, while other say they are private Investigators, allegedly hired by Cruise, who are keeping tabs on Katie and her whereabouts.

However, a lawyer for the Church Gary Soter told TMZ that the Scientology movement is 'not following Katie or conducting surveillance on her in the wake of her divorce with Tom Cruise'.

Sources say that Katie saw this coming, prompting immediate action and secretive moves.

'Katie saw all the pressure - [Scientologists] are professionals at pressuring people to be quiet,' a source told the Post. 'That’s why she did this in secret.

'Suri is at the age where they are going to start educating her in Scientology centers and indoctrinating her into the religion.

'Katie did convert when she and Tom were married, but she didn’t take to it. Behind closed doors, and when the private planes and the red carpets were gone, she didn’t like it.

'And she decided she does not want that for Suri.'

The actress was allegedly convinced husband Tom Cruise was planning to send Suri, six, away to Sea Organisation - an association of Scientologists established in 1968 by L. Ron Hubbard, the science fiction writer and founder of Scientology.

Sea Org, as it is known, is where the highest levels of Scientology are taught and children as young as five can be sent to live there - without their parents.

The company has been often compared to a boot camp and several ex-Scientologists (including Oscar winner Paul Haggis) have been outspoken against its military-like conditions.

Initially created at sea, maritime customs and traditions persist today even in the land-based branches of the organisation.

It claims to act as goodwill representatives and administrators of Scientology with the stated purpose to 'get ethics in on the planet.' And a source told website TMZ that Cruise is a big fan.

The website claims that Katie and Tom had been arguing over Suri's indoctrination into Scientology -- and it seems that for Katie talk of her six-year-old joining Sea Org was the final straw.

However, the Church of Scientology is adamant no one under 16-years-old can join - including A-list offspring Suri.

The Church's lawyer released a statement saying minors must have 'consent of both parents and/or all legal guardians' in order to join.

Katie was said to have been planning the big move from the Manhattan apartment she shared with Tom to her own Chelsea apartment for several weeks.

Strangely, Radar report that the new home is said to be the same block Penelope Cruz lived in following her split from Tom.

Katie apparently finally began the divorce process when Tom travelled to Iceland to film his latest movie Oblivion.

It has been revealed that Katie's Ohio-based attorney father Martin was a key figure in actress's final shock decision to divorce Cruise.

According to People, Katie's father came to New York and immediately stepped in to help.

'Her father came into town and fired (people surrounding Katie),' a source told the magazine.

'He took control. He was worried about his daughter.'

However, the final decision was down to Katie and only Katie.

Cruise appeared oblivious to his wife's discontent just two weeks ago and gushed about her at a ceremony to accept his Friars Club Foundation Award just two weeks ago.

Tom who took his children Suri and Connor as dates to the event, said after he picked up his award: 'My wife who couldn't be here tonight, I have to thank, she made this suit for me. She's amazing. I'm very lucky to be married to her.

He then added, according to Usmagazine: 'She's in China working.'

The couple are worth around $275million - much of that owing to Tom's box office success.

The terms of the pre-nup are understood to be clear, although she is likely to contest it.

For each year the couple stay married, she collects $3million - to a maximum of $33 million after 11 years - as well as their palatial home in California.

If their marriage had lasted more than 11 years, Holmes would have received half of Cruise’s reportedly $250million fortune.

After filing for divorce less than six years later, according to the agreement, Katie should only be entitled to $15million as well as the couple's $35million Beverly Hills Mansion

But with an estate worth upwards of $275million, Katie is expected to seek much more and there is already intense speculation as to how much she will collect when the papers are signed.
