In the TV show, which airs on BBC, Sara plays DI Camille Bordey.
She is the glamorous sidekick to DI Poole (British actor Ben Miller) who was seconded by Scotland Yard to the fictional island of Saint-Marie, a British colony to solve a murder and ordered to stay.
Sara had been heavily involved in performing her own stunts, until injured her Achilles tendon during the first season.
She told the BBC: 'Well I did have a lot of stunts until I broke my Achilles tendon!
Surf's up: Sara ran through the water with a surfboard in hand as she got to work
'I was performing a scene where Fidel (played by Gary Carr) was going to run and jump on to a boat. I was saying to the director I really wanted to do it too.
'Gary and I started running and I managed to slip and break my Achilles tendon! I had to go to London for surgery and rest it for two weeks before I could go back to Guadeloupe.'
However, she seemed to be back to full fitness as she ran through the waves on the beautiful beach.

Speaking about her experience shooting on the island, she said: 'It was an incredible island – very hot. One of my favourite things was to get up early in the morning, sit on the beach and watch the sun rise – that was beautiful.'
Meanwhile, Miller previously spoke to the Daily Mail about his character's charms.
He said: 'My character definitely has an eye for the ladies, but I don't think he has the confidence or belief in himself. He's tremendously awkward. I think he's given up on relationships. I imagine he's been hurt at some point.'
