Alesha Dixon surprises on BGT by hitting her Golden Buzzer to put girl group REAformed through

'They're the best girl group I've seen in a while': Alesha Dixon surprises on BGT by hitting her Golden Buzzer to put girl group REAformed through

Alesha Dixon shocked the Britain's Got Talent audience on Saturday night as she put girl group REAformed through by pressing her Golden Buzzer.
The show judge made the shock call despite it looking as though the trio would head through to the next round of the ITV show anyway.
However, the 35-year-old star appeared intent on making sure they got through after being mocked by her fellow panellists David Walliams and Simon Cowell for telling one of the girls in the trio to concentrate on her education instead of music when she met her previously.

The group took to the stage and admitted they were most keen on impressing Alesha because they saw themselves as similar to Mis-Teeq, the group Alesha shot to fame with.
One of the girls then revealed she had met Alesha before and revealed the star had told her to 'concentrate on education first' before embarking on a career in the music industry but to keep plugging away.
Simon and David then mocked the singer for giving such advice.

The decision means REAformed were put straight through to the next round, but it seemed a particularly strange one seeing as though the trio looked likely to progress anyway.
Alesha then said: 'I started out in a girl group and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Mis-Teeq.'
Simon added: 'That was amazing but now you've got to live up to Alesha's potential. Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Good luck'
Alesha said: 'That just felt right. They're the best girl group I've seen in a while.'
Tears: Wannabe singer Eva Iglesias also impressed on the show before admitting she nearly didn't audition because she had been left heartbroken earlier in the week
