It was a long time coming, but Boyhood swept the board at the 72nd Annual Golden Globes Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
The movie - that was filmed sporadically over 12 years - took home Best Film, Best Director and Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for Patricia Arquette.
The Theory Of Everything was second with two gongs, one for Eddie Redmayne who was named Best Actor in a Drama and another for Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson for Best Score.

The competitive Best Actress in a Drama category saw Julianne Moore beat out Reese Witherspoon in Wild, Jennifer Aniston in Cake and Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl - for her role in Still Alice.
Julianne plays a middle-aged woman suffering from early onset Alzheimer's in the moving drama, that also stars Kristen Stewart.
Benedict Cumberbatch and Jennifer Aniston presented the first award of the evening, for Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.

The presenting duo also announced Fargo star Billy Bob Thornton as Best Actor – TV Miniseries or Movie.

Amy Adams was the next big star to win, taking home the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy Or Musical - for her role in Tim Burton's Big Eyes.

George - who was wearing the same tux he wore at his wedding - gave a funny and touching speech, telling Amal: 'I couldn't be more proud to be your husband.'
Harrison Ford revealed that Richard Linklater had won Best Director for Boyhood next, the film's second award of the night.
Michael Keaton was named Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical for Birdman, and thanked the Hollywood Foreign Press for 'even having a comedy category'.

However, the movie Birdman was then beaten by The Grand Budapest Hotel in the category for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical.
Robert Downey Jr. revealed the winner - which was a huge surprise win, but one that was well deserved.
Meanwhile, hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey kicked off there ceremony with their typical acerbic wit, taking aim at the great and the good of Hollywood.

First up was Angelina Jolie, who was referenced as Tina called the audience ‘a bunch of minimally talented spoiled brats’ poking fun at Jolie's mention in the Sony hacking scandal.
Seth Rogen and James Franco's The Interview was also a hot topic, which Amy said North Korea had made us all ‘pretend that we wanted to see’ and that their verdict wasn't the worst review the movie got.
Tina then poked fun at George Clooney, listing the many impressive accolades of his wife Amal Clooney’s career as a human rights lawyer, before saying, ‘but it’s her husband who is getting a lifetime achievement award.’
