Alongside hosting the X Factor and Love Island for ITV, the presenter is hopeful she will land the coveted role previously filled by Denise Van Outen.
It comes after the starlet, who shot to fame as the host of the Xtra Factor, told of her desire to appear in the musical in 2013.
'I'm obsessed with musicals. I have always wanted to play Roxie in Chicago,' she said.
After taking acting lessons from coach Tom Attenborough, she hopes to land the part at the Palace Theatre in the forthcoming weeks.

'This is Caroline's absolute dream role. Her time on Strictly reignited her passion for performing,' a source told the Sun's Dan Wootton.
'That's why she's prepared to put herself through the audition. She is hosting X Factor and Love Island for ITV so it's not like she needs the work, it's just a project she's very passionate about,' they added.
'She understands the risk of the audition and the fact it means she might not get the role.'
Previous stars to have filled the part are Denise Van Outen and former Destiny's Child songstress Michelle Williams.
Renee Zellweger portrayed the character in the 2002 film version of the musical alongside Catherine Zeta Jones who played Velma.
Stage actress Sarah Soetaert most recently filled the role at the Cambridge Theatre.
